I bought the B50 a couple months ago at this price. I mostly used them in the gym with the included bluetooth cable. In less than 30 days the Bluetooth cable stopped working. I tried to just return them, but since they were defective I had to send them back to Westone (On my dime). I wanted to just get a refund, but was told no, and that it would be 5-6 weeks to send them back to me. And I had to send everything back when only the BT cable was defective.

Needless to say, I have a bit of a sour taste in my mouth after the ordeal. And when I found out they were defective I bought a pair of the Sony WF-1000xm4 (Planning to sell the B50s when I get them back). Its subjective, but I prefer the sound of the Sony's on top of the fact that they are so much easier to use.

I've gone through 2x pairs of the 1More triple diver IEM's, bad cables deteriorate after 1-2 years of daily use. Sound on them is unreal though and I need more, anyone try these that also had the 1More?

I've mentioned this in previous threads but I've literally never seen a reputable IEM reviewer recommend Westone at any price bracket. You can look at a FR graph and notice they scooped out a giant portion of the upper mids for some reason - aka these are poorly tuned. Here's a graph vs the Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk which are highly regarded to be very well tuned. (Yes the B2 Dusk is considerably more expensive but this is more about the tuning).

These look almost identical to Shure SE530's. Shure has top notch customer service. Had a pair that the cable started to fray and was told that the cable is Kevlar reinforced at that fraying shouldn't happen. They sent out a brand new replacement.

I feel yor pain and your situation is unfortunate. I bought westone w40 for entry into iem audiophilia in 2018. the bluetooth cable failed fairly quickly and I just settled for the cable route for a couple years.. now theres bt v5+ w/aptx and ldac and my many other better value chi fi iem's, ie starfields, t2, legacy 3. surprised old standards like westone, shure, etc are still alive in the iem scene now dominated by better chi fi options.

agree, they do rate poorly. I still enjoy my overpriced w40's. after I spent a small fortune on them I found the wonderful world of chi fi and never looked back. way to many chi fi options to render overpriced options from westone, etymotic, shure, etc obsolete.
