Oh man I'd be all over this if it weren't for the high gaming lag

This TV has some pretty major flaws...hence the reason for the blowout price

However for $1199 definitely worth taking a look

Thanks .. just checked some of the Flaws at ratings …. "Sadly, many of the issues reported on the 65 inch version are still there; it has a slow response time, with terrible ghosting behind fast-moving objects, and the dual-layer technology produces bands of color in uniform screens that can be distracting"

Same price on Amazon for anyone interested (though Amazon does also add a $100 "digital reward gift card").

EDIT: This TV doesn't qualify for the $100 digital reward gift card as per Hisense's web page.

There is no 65 version. This is the u9dg not the u9g. NVM, see they are referencing an international version.

Man.. at THIS price this TV is worth serious consideration. Even with the ghosting and bad response times, it's now only 1200 bucks. That is in Samsung mid-range (Q6) territory, when this USED to be priced to compete with the mid/high end OLEDs from LG and Samsung.

I might have to pull the trigger.

Amazon matched it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096MYMP5X (edit: mfucci posted this already, and noted the $100 Digital Reward Gift Card.).

Kudos to Hisense for attempting a new panel technology. Didn't realize it's this bad.

Best to wait for the 2nd Gen of this tv. First gen tech ALWAYS has significant flaws.

Very tempting but I keep hearing concerns about ghosting and poor motion issues. Anyone know if there are any settings that could alleviate that issue on the TV? For example a sports or gaming mode that lowers the picture quality a bit to improve fast motion?

U9DG vs. TCL R646. Which one is better?
