Great price. These are usually 7200rpm White label helium filled drives (generally anything >10TB is Helium filled). I have a few of these in a server with 2000-5000 hours on them and no failures. Highly recommend at this price point!
Western Digital store also has it for $199.99 and you'll get an extra year of warranty from them.
Also available at Best Buy for same price: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-e.../6425303.p

I bought 2 from WD last sale and 2 from Best Buy today. Shucked all 4 today and all are 7200 rpm according to crystal disk info.

Just bought two from Western Digital using 15% off code from expertvoice.com (affiliation discount such as military and other businesses) plus the 12% CB from PayPal (although it sounds like a $5.99 limit). Should come to $164 each ($11.71/tb) after PayPal CB.

Thanks!!!

I ordered 4 from WD and it changed my order to 2. Then charged me for 4! I didn't catch it until the transaction was completed. So be careful if you are ordering more than 2
I realize what happened. When I applied the new user discount of 10%, it applied that on the original price, not the sale price. Not happy and will be returning them as my order is almost $800 for two drives.

Bought 4 last time around, all white 7200RPM. Put them in a cheap tower and set up a NAS with OMV.

Just make sure you have a well cooled/ventilated case.
Can I connect 4 of these drives like NAS?

why dont externals have 3.2
What would be the point? These are the spinning platter drives and already bottleneck the 3.0 speeds.

Is this the pull the trigger price? Will it go lower sometime this year?
Let me get out the crystal ball... it says.... there is such a thing as a dumb question. Search this website and maybe you'll get the info you're looking for.

Also you obviously need to read the below. Will save you in the future.

I picked up a couple of these on a whim right before the sale ended. It may have been the beer, but it could have been they whisky. My external drive is starting to get low on space and I've been wanting to set up some NAS at home. Now I just need to get an enclosure, learn how to shuck and everything else that comes with setting up NAS.

Yep raku10 didn't give me the full 5percent — they only gave $1….

I've had a few problems with r10. All I did was contact them through support and they asked me to copy and paste receipt in their text block and it was taken care of each time.

Shouldn't have to call them out, but they fixed it. Just have to pay attention.

I just reached out to raku10 this morning for the drive I purchased through them last night. I got a dollar back based upon a subtotal of $19.99. They've always been really good about addressing issues for me. There have been times they've credited me when I simply misunderstood the terms of the rebate, which is nice..

Your answer was not productive, g-dawg. Go pound some sand holmes before you get embarrassed further. You catch my drift, brah?

The drives I received are white label and have a manufacture date of over a year ago. Seems they have a backlog of inventory to clear. Wouldn't be surprised to see lower prices soon.

Just received my two drives. Took only 2 days from order to delivery. That's impressive! Does anyone know how long it'll take the 12% cashback to show up on my Paypal account?
