Has anyone purchased this 14TB recently and shucked? Best guess on what's inside?

Not super-recent, but I got 3 of them back in the beginning of April and they were nothing noteworthy, just white label drives. FYI, they needed pins taped off to be seen by my PC. Wasn't anything difficult, but a possibility to be aware of. Smilie

I bought one in early August (same price). It has a WD140EDFZ white label drive. Believed to be a variant of the HGST HC530. Which is a pretty decent drive.

I know these will likely be cheaper in a few months. But may pick one up.

I also order two of 14tb this March from B&H. For 200 before tax each. Wish I bought more.

There's a way easier way to shuck these, and it requires zero lube.
