Supply & demand
He doesn't understand that either
Back in the day they had such good customer service. I got a TV from them that had a few dead pixels, which typically isn't enough to warrant a return. Not only did they take the return but refunded me fully (no restocking or shipping fee etc) - and it was delivered and picked up by an actual trucking company (it was a big TV) so they definitely lost money on it.
Anyways sorry for the off-topic story. Seems like a good deal. I used newegg a lot back in the day also because they didn't charge tax in NY. Saved a decent amount when making large purchases.
AVOID Newegg though.
Agreed! They lost my return and kept that money plus charged me for the replacement modem and router that were damaged in shipping. I had to contact an executive via Twitter in order to get any action. She got people looking into it and found that they did have the return, but it was in the wrong department. It took over 6 months to get this money back.
Meanwhile, Amazon thinks they can rest easy knowing people love them. They took 1.5 weeks to ship me a motherboard they ship & sell, and I'm a prime member.

I agree the product is becoming easier to find and obtain, but while we may know this not everyone does. Posts and information on SD moves quickly. Also, demand shifts have a lag time. This has much more to do with overall (hate to sound like a broken record; it's why my initial post was just the one phrase..) supply & demand than our ideas of sale relevancy .
Perhaps you meant, it's not relevant to some of us deal seekers on sd? I would also understand this argument, but the view count of this thread suggests otherwise. It's so easy to ignore a thread with a deal that isn't relevant to you.
