Some people are concerned about phytoestrogens turning them into feminine men or "soy boys". There is no good evidence that phytoestrogens have any hormonal effects on humans. More importantly, they are not actually in soy oil, so that's not a real concern, no matter what podcast you get your "medical information" from.
The other concern is GMO. There are similar concerns about GMO foods, maybe more legitimate than the phytoestrogen concerns. However GMO only affects proteins. The soy oil from wildtype soy and GMO soy is identical.
