Well I went back (more like 5-6 days) and did find the conversation you're talking about. It's still pretty vague I guess so more or less just taking a chance.

Definitely don't put the Fi SIM in another phone, I got that part, but whether or not Fi requires the SIM to be in the phone and ping their network at any intervals seems unclear.

Again, common sense makes me think that as long as you are paying for the service, they shouldn't really care if the SIM/phone is actively pinging their network on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. But similarly, they shouldn't care if you just put the Fi SIM in another phone either, however they clearly do and that will void the promo. That's why I'm worried they may have the same weird stance on just not using the SIM at all.
Per Fi customer service yes they are vague. Other posters here have said take the sim and stow it away works. But thats to avoid charges beyond $20 but that defeats the purpose of the ask - using it with another SiM.

I was informed that if you remove the SIM it will be inactive as the FiApp will not register it. I think they check at some interval so they do not want you be off long. Unclear how long. The other issue is not amy of my carriers support eSiM so you got to wait for 4 months $80 plus tax before you can use if you do mot want to risk $500.

Visible has $25 for unlimited data (including hotspot). I would have switched if they provided same option but slow down after 35GB and 5GB of hotspot only.

End of the day Google Fi plan cost more ($75 for three lines + tax) compared to visible $25 per line including taxes (lower down with party pay).

How are the shipping times looking? I'm thinking of ordering but need this delivered before May 15th.

If I order 2 phones and port in 2 numbers it applies the discount to both phones. Are they going to charge me for the second phone later?
1 deal per G-mail account.

If you order 2, one phone must be activated under your Gmail account.

The second phone must be activated by a different Gmail account in your Google Fi group plan.

The way I understand things.

I placed my order on 4/22 for a black 128GB S22. Current estimated delivery date is 5/4-5/6.
The deal is still alive https://fi.google.com/about/phones/

No one knows for sure, so it is up to you to take the risk. I did my research, and decided to take a chance. If I get charged, I will let everybody know. I have not seen any confirmed case that the promotion is voided by using the Fi phone with physical SIM from another carrier.

In Korea, the S22 series is being sold at a 10-15% discount due to the recognized erroneous operation of game services.
