Lifetime for THE COMPUTER you install this on. It's non-transferrable. (Updates are apparently included) I'm seeing regular price between $69-99.

The free updates don't include upgrades.
IOW, when Office 2024 (or whatever) comes out you don't get to upgrade to it. However, you will still receive security, bug, and critical updates to your Office 2021 for the life of the product (thru Oct 13, 2026).

Also, read the ONE COMPUTER part as something that you control. If a computer that you had this Office 2021 on dies, you are fully able to license the same Office 2021 on a new computer, provided you log into your Microsoft account and remove the old computer activation. It's a full retail license that is fully transferrable - as long as it's only on one computer at a time.

Also², If you already have (or have had) a Microsoft account tied to a subscription Microsoft product (Office365/Microsoft365) Microsoft may not allow you to use that account for perpetual products (although this isn't explained when you try to use it). Just create a new, free Microsoft account and activate it that way. You can use the key you receive for any valid email address (regardless of the email address you enter when purchasing the Office 2021 Pro).

I purchased from here in mid April. Last week my installation suddenly restricted my access as unlicensed. I called Microsoft support and they tried to help but unable to saying something to the effect this was MSDN licensed and ultimately I would have to contact the seller. I do not recommend this deal.

purchased and tried it, it installed but did not run correctly, I think there is something wrong with the key/license
Even if the key is invalid, should still install and run, just as an unactivated product. (most features unavailable.)

Yes, I'm buying Office 2021 and Windows 10 from SoftkeyWorld. Both are working well. And I checked that softkeyworld windows 10 key are retail key. (Not OEM cheap key)

Use the online version of MS Office for free. Just go to www.onedrive.com.

I use office 365 online through work, but I find the lag super annoying. If it it's just for reading or small edits, it's fine. But for any serious composition other than just typing, it's unbearable. (And my internet is fast.)

Only Office license key can be redeem in Microsoft account. Windows key can't be redeem in Microsoft account. just keep this license key for future use. Don't worry softkeyworld license key are retail and legitimate.
What are you basing this on? Any evidence you can share?

Ok, I purchased and redeemed through the Microsoft store where all apps are accessible. However, I'm wondering why when I'm in each app there is a constant prompt to Buy Microsoft 365 unlimited. I feel like, I'm going to discover that I didn't get the full version of this apparent license.

I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger on this because there sure are a lot of very new accounts praising it. But I wouldn't worry about that part - they always advertise 365 because it's "better" "safer" "generates us a lot more money because we make people rent software instead of owning it". I dread the day they stop offering standalone.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com and look under Services & Subscriptions. It should show up under Products you've purchased. I have never been prompted to buy anything & I installed this in January.

I activated through this link... https://setup.office.com/

Uninstall Office from the previous PC and log out of your Microsoft account from the previous PC, after completing this process, install Office and login to the Microsoft account to get the active office on the new PC.

Open a Command Prompt or PowerShell and type in Slmgr –dli. You can also use Slmgr /dli. Wait a few seconds for the Windows Script Manager to appear and tell you which license type you have. You should see what edition you have (Home, Pro), and the second line will tell you if you have Retail, OEM, or Volume
