Bare cast iron is made in USA. Enameled pieces and many accessories are made in China.
1) I didn't know Lodge made glass lid for their cast iron pans.

2) Why are the instructions at Amazon in Japanese?

"Safe in oven up to 400 degrees" don't ovens pretty routinely go over 400 degrees? Many recipes call for temps of 425 or 450. I would want something that at least goes up to 500 before I'd consider it oven safe for even just a conventional home oven.

I cannot imagine the process being manual. It probably has been automated a long time back.
And I would assume that EU regulations will require disclosure of the same if it is indeed the case.
I tend not to think of Le Creuset and Staub as rule breakers, but you seem to know better!
.
Know better? It is not that I am so brilliant, but rather I associate with importers that are.

If I were going to spend the money for Staub or Le Creuset, seconds or not, I would do the research or make the call. But, it seems those that spent stupid money don't really want to know... lol

12 inch lid is not on any deal right now.
right. I just noticed that there was one in the options, will try to check it once in a while. I don't have a 10" skillet, and I recently got a good price on a set of tramontina 3-ply with some 10" stuff in it, so this one wouldn't do much for me.
