I bought the 100" L5F from Buydig last year. It has been an interesting purchase. My primary TV is a 77" OLED so keep that in mind.

-The screen came damaged. Unrolling the screen is one of the last parts of the installation process, so I didn't realize it until late. Unfortunately I had to wrap it all back up and send it back, but after some back and forth emails and phone calls I did get a new screen. The new package was almost damaged the same way (shipping of these things seems brutal). INSPECT THE SCREEN WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT!

-Installation sucks. Like it really does. There's an app that's supposed to help calibrate everything, but it failed every time I used it on android and iOS devices. If the screen is on a white wall, like mine, any light bleed will be extremely noticeable. Fine adjustments are HARD. Free installation on this deal is clutch.

-I am particular about the height of the screen (I don't want it to be too high / neck strain). So I wanted the projector lower. I didn't have any stand at home that was that low, and buying one didn't seem a great option for me. I actually ended up building one since the projector needs to be off the wall an awkward amount, so I built kind of a cantilever-type thing that's relatively low to the ground. I assume most people wouldn't do this.

-The colors are nowhere near what you'll get with even a bad TV. I have the thing set to vivid. The picture is often blocky/pixelated when it would be crystal clear on an OLED. Colors are absolutely washed out with not very much contrast. I'm one to notice these things. The wife doesn't.

With all that being said, the extra size of the screen is still awesome and we use it as much or more than the OLED. But as soon as those 98"-100" TVs come down to ~$5K, I'm buying one of those instead because I'm certain it will be miles better in terms of picture and setup.

Is the screen projection size adjustable to a smaller size if I have a smaller area on the wall say 90 inches diagonally ?

The 120 inch one has been on sale for $2500. I don't think $600 for install is worth it unless you can't work your way around regular tools like a screwdriver. Not sure if this is really FP worthy tbh.

I'd ignore the comment earlier about urlhasbeenblocked. I think they are defunct - lots of negative posts on Reddit about orders the last few months and wouldn't recommend trying there.

L5G is crap. Don't even bother. Look at L9G or it's sibling, px1-pro (if you have a more light controlled room).

L9G and px1-pro are getting Dolby Vision upgrades, like some Chinese counterparts. This is a game changer.

If you can, wait to see how the upgrade pans out especially with newer UST projections coming out this year also with DV.

For that size, I would just go with an 85" TV.

Also the screen size is fixed. So its not adjustable.

Any idea what other new UST's are coming out soon/what brands that will support DV?

Fengmi T1 and xiomi cinema C2 already have DV, but must be ordered from China. Operate on a version of android OS. They produce some amazing blacks for an UST.

Hisense L9G and px1 pro will have it very likely this year. AWOL is a new manufacturer in the US and has a decent projector that also has applied for DV certification.

So 2 have it. 2 on the way, and possibly another. More likely after that.

Keep in mind that the right screen is super important and unfortunately they are very expensive. If this is a TV replacement in a moderately light controlled room, will need a CLR low gain screen.

I have the Fengmi T1 and Xiaomi C2...both are great. The C2 is plug and play and the T1 needs alot of tuning.

That said, T1 just has a global edition released today. US support and sales now available with full Android TV included. No brainer to pick the T1.
