I love my Ninja coffee maker, and I'm a bit of a coffee snob.
For $10 more, Woot has it with the stainless thermal carafe. This machine does not have a hot plate constantly burning your coffee for you. The thermal carafe does a great job keeping it hot without needing that heating element. I highly recommend it.
Bought this 'new' about 6 months for $95 from Kohls. Works great, no complaints
I paid $100 for the CM400 from Walmart 4 months ago which is similar to these models, but also includes a frother. I have been really pleased with it so far and have had no issues.

It's hot but I wouldn't say it isn't too hot that you can't drink it. So much better than all the Keurigs I've owned!

Can't stress this enough, use filtered water. The coffee taste is better and you will not have the cleaning button come on every month. My first ninja that light would come on every other month and over time it was an every other week thing. My current one has never seen unfiltered water and the light has never come on in over a year. I basically did a forced cleaning at that point but I probably didn't need to.

Good product though. I went with the glass carafe after initially buying thermal because I noticed the thermal one just didn't do a good enough job of keeping the coffee hot and I honestly like to see the coffee anyways. The negatives with glass are the burner will keep heating the coffee (like most coffee makers) and glass can obviously break.

I assume that the coffee comes out too hot to compensate for the lack of a heating element (which could burn the coffee also if too hot)? I returned a previous ninja model for that reason. Time (brew) and temperature parameters that impact coffee flavor seem to be neglected with many brands and models which compensate with looks or gimmicky features. Aside from my pour over filter and carafe (for single cup) my Bonavita coffee maker (Specialty Coffee Association certified) seems to brew the best cup of JD. Sooo, absent of a SCA certification or proof that the time and temp are opimal for brewing, the quality of coffee is questionable for this machine.

It's this one. I have their pourover and that's great, too. I usually use a v60 but it's pretty fool-proof in comparison.

I have a slightly different ninja, quality of the coffee is great and it's plenty hot. Hard water is a pain with them though.

I love my bonavita -makes the best cup of coffee around I think. We also have an oxo 9 cup which has a better carafe but the coffee is not quite as good to me as the bonavita. I would only get a coffee maker that is SCA certified.

They claim it's SCA Certified (and I see it on the website) but I just didn't think the quality of what it produced was close to other brewers (Bonavita, OXO, Technivorm, etc). For me, that made it an instant return. Cool features, but not for the true coffee snobs out there.

A shame the top comment is false. I got the glass version a couple days ago and it does have a heating element. Even allows temperature and time on adjustment (medium / high, 2 to 4 hours).

I bought and received the CM-305.
I clearly mixed up reviews/comments -- I thought I was getting a machine with a metal filter, frother on side, and tea setting. It has none of those. My mistake; I see in Woot specs now: "Scoop, permanent filter, coffee mugs, and frother attachment not included."

Anyone else expect that stuff?

I did. Should've read the listing better. My fault. They even had custom manuals listing this stuff not being included. I got a 4 dollar filter off Amazon which works fine but the scoop would've been nice to have.
