I ordered the refurbed 14 then saw the new was $40 more new yesterday. I should've grabbed it for the warrenty but most people are saying the refurb is essentially new so hopefully should be fine. If this strategy bits me in the backside I'll let you guys know so the next person wouldn't make that same mistake.
By the way, the bios can be updated on these to double performance. Check out the bios section of this video for details if you need more power (otherwise I'd leave it as is to keep longer battery life). https://youtu.be/7YuJso34l30
