Have to go to "deals" from the homepage and there's an option for employee/student/military discounts
The good news is, I swapped out the motherboard in mine today and it is now playing nicely with my SN850.

Would these be considered good deals with 10% Rak CB and the Capital One 12% Coupon?
No one seemed to really answer my question though.
I was simply asking if those X17 deals are considered good with 12% off and 10%CB. I wasn't comparing it to the M15 or the X15.
Maybe the way I worded my question is causing confusion.

The design and build quality is definitely a factor for me.
I know that those laptops usually run near 3k but since the R2 came out I wasn't sure what the pricing of these R1's should be.
Factoring the discounts and CB, the more expensive X17 is at or around 2k after taxes.

But if you're fine with only two of those three, then there are cheaper options out there. The Legion 7, GE76, and several Asus models are all built very well and have comparable performance, and all come in at a lower price point.
Here is a decent review if you're interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBRN9iZ

Thanks! This is pretty much the answer I was looking for originally. lol
Did you try to contact Dell about it? Sad that they're still not providing them. I get mine today, we'll see if I get one.
Mine came with bracket/screwes/heatsink installed.
Tho boot drive is 2230 Kioxia BG4 Series KBG40ZNS512G instead of 2280 drive. Never heard of that brand before. On my order boot drive that listed has part number 400-BLXB. Unless I'm doing something wrong, it supposed to be 2280 drive.

Thought it was supposed to be a 2280 drive too, but I've heard a few people mention it being a 2230.

There is a problem with 2230 on this mobo.
According to manual, 2230 limited up to 512GB, when 2280 up to 2TB.
So basically in current configuration if you want to add more real estate to your boot drive you are out of luck. Sure you may swap it with any other 2280 drive, but you'll need to move bracket AND buy a heatsink since one that came with this rig is a short one for 2230...
Since there is no more 24/7 support from dell, I just send them email thru website with request for new drive and all hardware. In a case you'll have same problem or your secondary slot came without hardware, here is a list:
MHKK8 SSD Bracket
X197K M2x4 Screws (quantity of 2)
26X1Y Heatshield
DO NOT ask for installation kit !!! Just keep giving them those part numbers.
Just came home tonight and leaving tomorrow early morning, will be back Wednesday night at best and finally will turn this rig on for the first time
