If you want ram crucial's 8GB 3200Mhz won't hinder a 3050.
Not even 16 gb memory w/o even what should be a half terabyte of comfortable ssd these days. If you're a manufacturer with putting together a decent laptop to sell, at best they should at least be trying to saving costs thru bulk purchases and making a profit through mass production/ high unit sales.
This laptop is more like 'we'll give them minimum and charge them more than what it's worth.' But I'm the consumer and each manufacturer/retailer has different ideas about what should be.

I wasn't about to spend a grand on a laptop with crazy specs since it isn't going to be used as a primary system. For what this has and for the price I will be fine with it's gaming performance (or supposed lack there of lol) This will be the most powerful laptop I've ever used (I use desktop mostly) so that may make me a bit more gracious with my review. But I don't expect to need to replace this thing anytime soon after upgrading the RAM and adding an additional SSD. I think the only thing I would prefer at or slightly above this price point would be a 17" screen and a 3060 since it has additional VRAM. But sadly I didn't see any 'budget friendly' 17" laptops recently and anything with a 3060 is almost 1k.
Also note since this is a Ryzen chip it will greatly benefit from adding a second stick of RAM to run dual channel. I don't think it can handle more than 1.2v and 3200Mhz so keep that in mind when looking for upgrades.
a decent laptop.
Some people need to buy items 3-6 months before or after November

nevermind this one has the 3050, is 3050 much of an upgrade over the 1650?
