If the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (or other models) is expandable, they should be adding an SD card slot right on the dongle, IMHO.
I actually meant to specify Micro SD. What type of cable or adapter would I need if I wanted to use the card vs. a flash drive?
I agree that 8 gb is ridiculous!
Especially if they're not providing a slot on the device!
Insofar as expandability goes (and in certain other aspects), Roku is the better option.
I have both the Max and a Roku Ultra and the Max is less reliable and more quirky (from my experience).
If you're able to find the Shield Pro for $125.00, please post the source! Thanks!

I'm done with HSN. I chatted with a customer rep and they were clueless. I even provided her with the specific error reference code I received. HSN deals need to be blocked from SD. Put the retailer on the Ban List. They are incompetent. The website is garbage and full of bugs.

To assist here on SD, I attempted to purchase another one without the promo code (there should be no restrictions that way). Same results as you had. Couldn't even enter the credit card info! It appeared that the PayPal link might be working but can't confirm that. Could be a workaround, though. It appears that it might be a general problem for them. Perhaps unintentional glitches. Either that or they're disallowing multiple purchases of this item somehow. I would think that a different email and phone number would do the trick but not if their payment system isn't working. Only way to know for certain is to attempt to order a different item and abort if it works. You could also attempt to purchase it by phone and use the promo code but if it's the same email and phone number, it's likely to bounce. Using a different credit card? Perhaps?
It would seem strange if it's the method that they're using.

With my VPN experiment I was unable to even enter a credit card in the My Account preferences section for Payment Method. There was an error message located where the input fields for credit card information would usually be present. I had nothing in my Cart at this stage. So we can conclude that this HSN system error is not connected with any specific product such as the Fire TV Stick 4k Max.
A second customer service representative recommended calling in my order but offered no acknowledgement or information on the online payment bug. I'm not sure upper management is aware of the problem yet. Presumably it will be fixed eventually. Otherwise they are going to lose a lot of business in the meantime. I'm beyond frustrated. It's difficult to understand how an online retailer could mismanage such an essential aspect of their business.
I would also note that their website checkout pages are loading very slow today. These problems are independent of the browser or connection used or the account.
Regarding PayPal, I attempted to use PayPal. Logged in to PayPal via the popup window and clicked the confirm button. Once redirected back at the checkout page the Payment Information was reset. So PayPal doesn't work either.
