No, it will still downscale to the resolution of your TV. But this model is the best current Fire stick due to its speed.

Sneaky bastards. Let me go all the way through the registration process and apply code and when I executed order, it charged me full price. Had to cancel order afterward. Checked email account and I guess I ordered 1 thing from them 4 years ago.

Ok so I have two android TVs. What exactly are fire sticks good for if I already have smart TVs? I'm trying to think of a reason I would need these but I can't think of anything. I already have a ds920+ and it runs my Plex server. I stream everything through Wi-Fi. Are these sticks only good for older TVs?

I haven't looked lately but I'm pretty sure Amazon sells the remote only for more than this.

I wish the dongle had more internal storage, though. Max, really? 8GB is ridiculously small with all of the streaming apps out there. I doubt if you can still buy an Android device with only 8GB of internal storage.

Got one mostly for the remote and as a backup device. Now Amazon will introduce the 4K Ultimate with 16GB internal storage. 😂

BTW, I was able to check out as a guest and still use the coupon. I doubt if it would work again with the same email address, though. I used PayPal as well, and even though you have to add a payment method before adding the coupon, I was charged the right amount.

Does anyone know what the included software support voucher is for?
