Increased in-store trade-in value for smart phones and reduced price of S22 phones

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp-...1537879921

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sams...Id=6494440

I have an older Galaxy Note 10, BestBuy is offering $450 for in-store trade-in. Unlocked 256 gb S22 is has reduced -100 price at $750

$750 + $50 tax - $450 (trade-in) = $350

Samsung has an elevated trade-in currently as well, but they are only offering $375 on my Note 10.

Please read https://slickdeals.net/f/15754645-bestbuy-in-store-trade-increase-galaxy-s22-256gb-unlocked-750-before-trade-in-350?p=154876258#post154876258
for details of what to ask for from the reps at bestbuy to get the deal to work.

Seems like at some bestbuys, you can trade in multiple phones YMMV

I want to upgrade my existing AT&T number.

The website showed only a new line add to get the discount for AT&T.
What about the in-store purchases?

Hoping people are still reading this thread and can answer my question. I did the full 2 step process yesterday...traded in an S20 FE for the Zflip3 (only had Verizon model in stock so I opened up a new line with intent to cancel to avoid fees & monthly), then traded the Zflip for S22 Ultra on my Tmobile acct.

My question is: what's the best way to cancel the Verizon service without incurring costs? I remember doing something similar years ago by just porting out the Verizon mobile number to some MVNO prepaid kit like H2O wireless and got all charges cancelled. Will that way still work?

Maybe. You can try. But Verizon is very stingy. They'll try to charge you if they can

But how did you buy the verizon one, I went to 2 stores both of them said I can buy only the unlocked ones for enhanced trade in. I was trying to trade in an iPhone xr to buy the verizon one but they said I will get only 135 regular trade in value not the enhanced value. They said I can get the enhanced trade in only to buy unlocked phone

Look like the price of the new S22 has increase another $100. S22 ultra was 899 before, today is 999. So your trade in kind of decrease 100 buck

I got the full enhanced trade in for the S20 FE. I think the BB workers have some leeway into how they interpret the promo offers. Previous posts have mentioned this and to go back and talk to a different worker.

Not sure - I asked to buy S22 ultra and I was directed to their Mobile department. There, they did standard trade in and was giving me $175 for the Z Flip. I showed them their In Store promo, and they said they need to check. Their Manager asked the associate to call their help desk. Meanwhile another associate told them to use 'Samsung' as the code for additional trade in amount. When they tried samsung, the pop up window showed int heir system as $200 GC and $600 as Coupon. It printed a trade in paper which has 'Unlocked Samsung Flagship - $800 Tier ($200 GC + $600 Coupon)' printed with text as "Save upto $800 on the latest Samsung unlocked device with eligible trade-in($200 GC + $600 Coupon). Single Use - One Time only.'

The paper also printed bar code for $600 coupon which they used for the payment. The good thing was that this $600 was deducted prior to the sub total resulting in lower tax. I bought S22+ 256GB for $799, and my receipt shows $199.99 + $17.20 in tax which then he used the $200 GC to make the payment. I paid $17.19 out of pocket.

The only problem I see and I dont know, if I return the phone, then will I get only $199.99 + taxes as in the receipt OR will they refund me the coupon as GC or BestBuy certificate. The receipt though shows txns as:
1049.99 Was Price,
250.00 Sale Discount,
600.00 SAMSG MB PHN CPN BNDL 1

You were able to trade in devices at customer service for the full value on the GC? I did the same and they gave me a coupon to use at the mobile station in NY. What state are you in?
