hack doesn't work for me anymore. Pickup or ship both. Could then return it, no doubt, but less straightforward (for me at least) than it used to be.

Getting an error at checkout… Did they start to block the hack?

"Please make sure promotional items have the same delivery or pickup options and try again"

It gave the above error out when I clicked checkout.



Edit-
After opening in a browser and not the Home Depot App my cart was able to check out.
As a plus, my local store likely ran out of ratchets so they canceled it and now I don't have to bother. The ship-to-home part with the Fuel HackZall and the battery/charger is still set for tomorrow's delivery.

At what point did it error out? I was able to get all the way to clicking the "place order" button and there was no issue with picking up the kit and shipping the ratchet.

I noticed that new promo items must have the same shipping as well, no biggie just return to store next time you go i hope

I had the error in the cart as well for 1 being shipped and 1 for pickup.
My account recently changed to pro Xtra. Curious if this happens to only those on pro xtra?

No, I'm not pro status and had the problem. My guess is that if you've ordered hack items before, they may apply this or its a simple error in their system. Either way, fix above.

Yeah thats it. Pickup for the one you dont want, ship that which you'd prefer and they'll cancel after a week. Sooner if they're further away. This is a common trick folks leverage to lower the price.

Ok thanks. I have them in the cart and almost did the opposite and picked up the one I wanted then was going to try to cancel the delivery one. They don't cancel the store pickup one and then charge full price for the one you had shipped do they?

For those looking to circumvent this issue by either returning the unwanted item or not picking up a ship to store one, make sure they don't cancel the entire order or require the other item to be returned. They may well be shutting down this hack. Or not. I'm glad I got basically all the tools I need when it was still working.

Now if only they brought back that 3/6Ah battery kit for $99 (or even better at $89).
