I find this one to be a bit odd.

Normally they cost $9.97 see the following link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../312994495

At my local Big Orange's (AKA Home Depot) site, it says Limited stock and will not allow me to order it.

Brink Seek says they have 44.
While I was at my local Big Orange (BO), I found a display of this item that looks like it had at least 20.

What is the difference between the $8.88 straps vs.the $9.97 ones?
Other then a possible different UPC, I think they are the same.

UPDATE>>>>
  • There is a different UPC (located on the bottom right of the back of the package).
  • Also they have a different Product Number (think that is what it is called). The Product Number is located on the package on the front --right above the BONUS STORAGE BAG label (see image)-- and the back to the upper right (no image).
    • The product numbers are
    • For The $9.97 Item: 1005 411 670
    • For The $8.88 Item: 1006 794 698
The only other differences on the package is that the $9.97 was made in China (you can see that above the UPC code [No Image]), while the $8.88 was made in Vietnam (also no image),

Yes. And I appreciate the elaborate post and sharing a deal but these straps are like $10 all day long. It's one dollar cheaper
I agree, but that assumes that they will still continue to normally sell at around $10.
And in most cases, I would think that would be the case.

The Husky brand is one of Big Orange's house brands and as such you would expect that they would be around for a long time (and I hope that is the case), but that doesn't mean that this strap will still be sold.

Last year around X-mas I started to look for straps and these straps were on the top of my list (and cost was $9.97 then). I ended up getting Big Blue's House brand of straps called Kobalt.

Since Kobalt is a house brand, you would think that they would be around for a bit. That does not seem to be the case, since now these straps are now a Unicorn to get in my area. See following link to see what I mean: https://www.lowes.com/pd/SmartStr...1002802712

My local Big Blue doesn't have them in stock and I can not get them delivered to my house or to the store to pick up. Big Blue's site says that there are 20 available in a location around 20 miles from me.

I expect that once those Kobalt straps are gone, then they are gone & will not return. Granted I could be wrong and this is just a temporary supply issue. I hope that I'm wrong, but If I'm am correct, I don't care because I already have a set and expect them to last a long time.

This brings us back to the Husky straps.

Will Big Orange continue to sell them or are they on the way out?

I don't know what Big Orange is doing, but as I started in my post "...I find this one to be a bit odd..." and just wanted people to know, that if "...you are on the fence, then this may be the time to get them...".

Adding in a little context between the two upcs, the 8.88 sku is the straps + bag the other one I believe (already had it at the house) is the straps + bag and this plastic holder that the straps sit in.
Not a big deal either way.
