YMMV- May be for select account.
OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. Excludes all other Google products and services. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $75 back) per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/2/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K3HS:0001

I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.
I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer
Update:
Fi Prepay works perfectly, I was credited today. Incredible deal.

I have several Amex cards in my family that had this offer. I used a total of 3 credit cards for 1 Google Fi account. I opened one line and purchased the Samsung S22 using 24 month financing. I then prepaid the account $150 for AmexCard#1, then another $150 for AmexCard#2. $75 credits for both AmexCard#1 and AmexCard#2 have either already posted or pending posting. AmexCard#3 was used to pay for the $26.62 taxes when I first placed the phone order and just the other day I prepaid another $23.38 on the same card to round up the charges to $50. I'm going to wait for the $25 credit for that card to post and then prepay another $100 again.
All prepayments showed up in the google fi account balance as expected and have already offset the outstanding bill on the account. I was also able to request to fully pay off the phone in the next bill. So I expect the $300 balance on the phone to be fully paid by the outstanding credit on the account when the next bill is generated.
My monthly phone bill is around $27/mo. Assuming I stick around for 5 full months (so I don't lose the $500 discount on the Galaxy S22), my total cost is ($27 monthly bill x 5) + ($27 in phone taxes) + ($300 cost of S22) = $462 reduced by $225 in Amex credits ($75 credits x 3) for a net cost of $237.
So for $237, I get an unlocked Galaxy S22 and 5 months of service. Great deal.
Finally got posted
The way I see it, Google Pay collects and doles out payments for various Google services (Google Fi, Google TV, Google Music, etc). When one of those services has a balance due, it checks with Google Pay to see if there's any credit to cover the balance due first. I could be wrong.

2. I used my Wells Fargo Active Cash VISA card for the phone purchase and trade-in credit. Since the card earns 2% regardless of categories, W.F. didn't break down the transactions by category.
See attachments below.
Latest Visa / MC data points remains to be seen.
Can anyone with a Blue Cash Preferred confirm if they are still getting 6% back on Fi purchases?
Is it in 2022? Can you share the link please?

There's a Search function. Scroll back up where it shows the page numbers, click on View Forum Thread. On the next screen, there's a Search box on the right-hand side. Search for a keyword like "streaming". See attachments.
1.May 8th google fi pre-pay $50
2.May 11 google fi pre-pay $100
3.May 21st credit posted only $50
Both 1 & 2 had same google fi as a service.
I did chat with Amex rep he refused to give credit for remaining $25 and explains the "$50+ only gets $25. so you have two transaction $50 or more so only $50 credit"
Any one has this kind of experience eventhough most of them are getting $75 credit for one single $150 payment

P.S. I tried to upload screenshots, but I don't see an option to upload. Not sure if SD doesn't have this function or if my account somehow isn't allowed to do so, but here are direct quotes of what my rep said (his English was a bit off).
I can see the charge is absolutely elgible and the maximum time frame is 90 days but credit usually gets posted within 14 days or even early than this.
I do not see any trigger so that the charge is not eligible, it is absolutely eligble.
You don't have to worry about the credit as we having facing a delay issuing the credit and this is a known issue.
