Has a 3:2 Screen, a 60,000 google octane score power to blast through websites.
And it will get updates through June 2029.
This is one of the BEST ways to live on the web.
Rips through the web for me to do my work- exactly what I want it to do. The speed matters.
Being that my mobile use is basically nil battery life doesn't matter to me.
On the fan - you either like fan-less, low-watt processor chromebooks or chromebooks with fans and "big" intels. I don't expect to change people minds on their preferences.

and before all the haters and naysayers come along, yes this is pricey for a chromebook but cheap for a decent laptop. If you don't understand or use the Chrome OS, fine, and yes the auto update policy is a drag, but this one is supposed to be good til 2029, so plenty, and although you can get a CB for under $100, a nice screen plus more than adequate RAM and SSD storage are totally worth it. I manage my parents, my kids, and my own chrome accounts on my CB and having the overhead of the 8/256 will make life much easier.
edit: forgot a key point--in for 1; a better deal will come along with fall, but right now, this is the deal to beat if the form factor works for you (good arguments to be made for bigger or smaller devices; this is a good compromise size)
