I have a sneaky suspicion when these 3d titles are no longer peoduced they will become very valuable because a nice 3d projector is a great experience in home theatre setups.. love it in my 120" screen! loading up more for my collection! thanks

so this is 3D only means you cannot watch it without the glasses? Or it'll just play like regular movie?
A 3D bluray will only display in 3D so you'll need a 3D TV, player, and glasses. Most releases came with a separate bluray non-3D disc. But you have to be careful because there have been a couple of releases in the past that only came with the 3D disc. So just read the description to make sure.

I'm hoping that maybe The Avatar sequels will usher in a new era of home 3D.

Because only a few of y'all on slick deals where still buying them.Money talks
You basically answered the question of "why did this fail?" with "because it failed". We're all aware the discs didn't sell well. I think the question is why did they not sell well.

Because most people don't like 3D? I'm surprised they still release as many 3D Blu-rays as they do. 3D TVs disappeared years ago (maybe some projector models still support it?) so I guess the small fanbase must be dedicated enough to purchase a lot of discs.

I've kept my PS3 in pristine shape for a deal like this. People are going to need a 3D player.

Because 3d is a niche community, and selling expensive 3d titles to the masses is not good business, those masses can barely afford a nice tv, you expect them to overpay for a 3d title, have 3d capable tv that can have the same experiences as theatres, a puny 60" is not it! you expect them to pay for a nice atmos system? active 3d glasses?? these masses buy a soundbar and think they got the good stuff... 3d is not for everyone, you need a dark dedicated theatre room, 100"+ screen, atmos system, recliners.. now we talking... let the sheep enjoy their 60" tv with blu ray and sound bar and let us aficionados enjoy the fruits of our labor.

I also have a 120" 3D projector. It's crazy how nice the 3D movies look on it. I wish 4K didn't move away from 3D

I amassed a 3D blu-ray collection, along with my regular DVD & blu-ray collection, without having a 3D tv, thinking we might get one someday. A few years ago, my husband bought us a short throw projector and put up a 120" fixed frame projector screen. I wasn't sure about not having a tv anymore (and having a screen that huge), but we absolutely love it. Our kids, niece and I love watching 3D movies now too. I never really went to 3D movies at theaters much b/c of the upcharge.

I've been a movie buff and collector since I was a kid. My sister and I used to use our VCR to record grainy edited movies playing on TV, haha. laugh out loud It's cool b/c I feel like we have our own little theater now.

I bought Tiny Giants off a previous deal. We watched the beginning and the 3D looked absolutely awesome, but we couldn't get the sound to work. I don't know if it's my projector or the disc. shake head

Thanks for all the cheap 3D deals!!
