I got both recently and recommend either / both. $130 for sealed ATV4k 2021 on eBay, $25 for fire stick 4k max through HSN deal on here.
ATV4k 2021 is a no brainer if youre in the apple ecosystem: AirPods/Apple headphone pairing, HomePod pairing, Airplay, remote on phone and watch, highest quality ATV+ show/movie bitrate exceeding all other platforms. Performance is superior / feels snappier / higher quality remote. Generally apps are of the highest quality compared to on some other platforms, but in other cases parity. Simplified OS not ad overload.
I use it with my bedroom tv that has aging internal apps and had an ATV4 1080 hooked up until recently, for a 4k OLED tv haha.
...I think Alexa is probably more competent overall for searching content but Siri aint bad I dont use either much in that regard or rather havent used them enough to notice a difference for movie lookups...
I will say, the Fire stick 4k max is phenomenal value - outputs Hulu in 4k DV, ATV Hulu app is 4k HDR. and if youre heavy on amazon stuff for content, I think fire stick obviously is the path to go since its made with that in mind of course.
Hulu app sucks though in general, android TV version is only 4k SDR wth?
...And the performance is pretty good for such a cheap stick, like shockingly. But again, tvOS is smoother just the nature of the beast. Fire stick works better outputting DD over optical audio vs. my internal apps on my Sony some only output stereo. Not sure how well ATV fares on that one since its not on my 5.1 receiver setup (fire stick is on living room tv) but its beamed to a large HomePod next to my bed.
Plus with Fire stick, you can turn off HDR or toggle DV to be HDR for problematic content. I think its more granular than ATV. And definitely
More granular than internal apps
ymmv but just some insight

Apple TV has faster CPU, more RAM, more internal storage, and has a rechargeable remote.
Rechargeable remote alone makes it worth it to me. I'll never get another device that requires putting in AA or AAA batteries, and go hunting around for batteries.
This. During black Friday, ordered something on sale the day before black Friday as advertised. On black Friday it was even cheaper by like $10-$20. Costco did the price adjustment on their own without needing to call them

Bro why do you need 3?
I have three or four around the house. I've been looking to swap one of the original Apple TV 4K with the newer models. I'll hold off for now though.
