Nice little bag to keep in the trunk for emergencies. Per reviews, the top flap is reversible to store the bag itself. Material is thinner, straps are not padded, and the bottom is not reinforced (don't overload it, set it down gently, & don't drag it).
I was just about to say this bag is great for the price and that I'm using it right now as we speak at Disney but the elastic that holds the top flap buckle literally just snapped. Still a decent bag for the price but I'm a bit disappointed. Might return it. Or do a buy and return. I didn't buy it very long ago.
Is this the "normal" or "clearance" price? Conflicting info in posts above vs. WM.com.
I think it's the normal price, in that it's been on sale like this for… months now lol.
I also get the impression from above that thinking of it as a $10 bag and having $10-level expectations, will lead to a more satisfied usage experience.
How did you add cushion pads to the straps? I have an Eddie Bauer stowaway and that's pretty much my only complaint about it, the straps are a thin.
I sewed cushion pads on the straps. You can reuse the old clothes by cutting and folding them thick, then sew them to the straps
another way to do it is wrapping the thick clothes around the straps and close them with Velcro.
This bag is not flimsy. I have used it twice at Disney without issue. I had it stuffed with heavier items all day long and it never missed a beat. It's so comfortable that I really never noticed it being back there. I have had other bags in the same price range that were paper thin. This one is made of material that you would find in more expensive packs. I would buy a spare but honestly it's rugged enough that it doesn't need a backup.

Yes, but be cautious it is extremely thin and not durable. The inner sleeve ripped on me within 24 hours of usage. I would use it to keep snacks, a few bottles of water or a light sweater. Nothing valuable.

I had to zoom in to confirm this thing has ice axe loops. I think Ozark might be overselling themselves just a bit there.
