Also as much as it wants to be paper mario 2.1 its really just... not as good as thousand year door.
I was going to buy this and I am a big fan of the earlier paper Marios. Just wondering what specifically you didn't like?

I've enjoyed the paper Mario series (the origami king included) and I really enjoyed this game. Im not saying buy it you will love it, that's up to you. I'd go watch some videos and see what you think. I think it might be more of an issue with the price and the practice of limited releases and their price. If you want the game there is no denying digital is much cheaper on the switch and even more so on other systems. So unless you just want a physical, (like I did) digital is the better option. I am in no way a collector, I just prefer physical for the games I really like. To me, Stardew valley is another example. I bought it physical and believe it is total worth it for me since I already had 300 hours in it already. Talk about value, 30 for 300hrs of entertainment (I got it on sale for $30). While I'd prefer Bug Fables to be a bit cheaper for the physical (29-34) I know I've gotten my value out of this $40 price tag and will only have more hours in the game.
I get they need to profit, but I think most of the time they ask for way too much for their games. I think $15 more max than the digital release is reasonable.
Every switch game I've pre-ordered from them has been $30-$40. Bug Fables was $40, same as this release. I think that's completely reasonable. They can't control the scalper market after the fact.
I guess this is one of the more reasonable ones now that I look at the eShop price. The ones I notice most though are games that are like $10-15 digital and they sell the physical copy for $60.
Another thing I hated was No More Heros. They released both games separately for $35 separate. Then you have the Asian import copy for $40. Even with shipping and important fees it's still cheaper than buying it from Limited Run.
Again, I'm not trying to hate on them. I think they provide a neat service. Just wish they were a bit more reasonable with their pricing. However I guess it does seem like that's happening more often now as with this game.
