Okay deal ($50 off average price), but waiting to see what the new AX11000 Pro is going to be marked that, the new 5.9Ghz band looks like the best of both worlds when it comes to Wifi 6 and Wifi 6E.

I have one of these. It's good, but not $500 good.

6E portion is semi useless and only works with intel 210/211 cards. I had to replace my AX200 card on my Mobo to even do basic testing. First 6E block sadly runs at half the power output relative to 5G UNII-1/3 80mhz public blocks. It performs okay in lower blocks because of zero interference, but it's not something that people would benefit from.

The regular 4x4 5G AX radio can perform worse than an older GT-AC2900 (4x4 AC W2) on some legacy AC and Intel AX clients when using UNII-3 149-161 block at 30+ feet in my environment.

The UNII-1 80mhz block performs better relatively, but this is likely due to power output differences. AXE11000 does full 1W power on 36-48.

Side note.. ASUS is working on a Tri band 5G router without 6E but designed to run at very high power output (over 1w) on 5G UNII3+ spectrum on one of the two 5G radios.

There is also rumors of a dual band with similar performance metics but I didn't say anything.😉

That's the thing. They have a unii3-4 block in testing right now that's pushing well over the 1w limit for one of the radios. The other radio is defaulting to normal 1w specs.

I can't tell you if this is subject to change but it got through initial fcc testing this last week.

I am trying to resist the temptation to buy these before the new Archer models come to market.
I am waiting for TP Link Archer AXE200 and AX206. Damn it.
