It's all about how you use them though. Are you planning on doing a bunch of cardio? Yeah sugars and carbs food sounds great then. If you aren't planning on that, then yeah not exactly healthy.

The last three times an amazon S&S deal was posted for cliff bars, Amazon "ran out of stock" and couldn't fulfill my order, canceling and suggesting I choose an alternative flavor, all of which were like double the cost.

10g isn't exactly a protein bar. That said, they do have Clif Builders protein bars, and those are great. Good luck finding a good deal on them though.

Same - Had 12ct chocolate PB crunch on S&S for some time, finally got tired of the cancelation emails and gave up. Giving it another shot with the banana flavor - hope they can keep in stock for a while.

This 10g is barely a protein bar. I eat pure protein bars which is 190cal, 20g protein. These are more calories and far less protein.

The person you quoted may have pointed something out that many people were not aware of. Most people probably don't look at the back of the product with all the details. I think the comment about the amount of sugar was beneficial to this thread.

People, this product is junk. It is not healthy, it won't make you perform better. But it is cheap, it stores relatively well, should avoid high temperatures, and it is convenient. For those serious about health, just buy some type of nut or fried fruit.

actually, your right. I saw another w/ almost identical numbers that said had protein really big on the label. Personally, I try and take in a pretty large amount of protein on a daily basis.

As for the hiking, running etc.. I do endurance events, so I run/cycle/swim excessively. but I also religiously watch calories, macros etc.. The only time I could easily slip these in were if I was training so long on a particular day, that I just didn't have time to eat a full meal and needed carbs/protein. This thing is basically a meal replacement bar.
