Rechargeable flashlight with built-in battery are bad. They will lose power over the time just like your cellphone, unless you treat these flashlight as disposable.

I have some rechargeable flashlight bought from Costco. They used to run 30 min per charge, now only 10 min after a year.

EEK!fellow preppers, learn from my mistake! I chose usb and sealed/internal rechargeable over lithium AA AAA etc and rechargeables...and died

The problem with rechargeable batteries is the cheap ones might not charge after a year or so and when they die, they are rarely replaceable. AA and AAA batteries will not be as convenient but they are reliable.

True but some of these type of items don't last that long overall anyway (switch or something goes) or get lost. Two of these lights got lost in my household, so I'd be out lights and nicer batteries. I actually keep some cheap flashlights with regular batteries, to avoid my nice rechargeable batteries going missing, lol.
