Looks like another very similar monitor being sold also by idea display for $349

https://ideadisplay.store/product...-backlight

Both of these are also on newegg. But if you get it from newegg, you will get charged for tax.

Both Z-edge and idea display have been around since at least 3rd/4th quarter 2021. Appears to be chinese products.

Companies nowaday use the same panels and control boards a lot of times. .

I bought one.

I have two Monoprice 4K 32 in monitors. After 2 years they are still running fine.

Samsung m7 4k 32inch has been $277 with epp for months.it also has a nice remote, a pair good speakers and a range of apps. IMO the M7 is a much better buy.

you are not comparing apple to apple. Samsung M7 is VA panel. not IPS. While there are some advantage to VA, IPS has significantly better viewing angle . There is a good reason why you only see professional monitor with IPS panels. IPS monitors are always more expensive than VA monitors

If you want a 32in 4K VA monitors, there are plenty new good ones from LG and others that are even cheaper than the M7

True. It is a VA vs IPS. But I think it is a sensible comparison that M7 also has a usb c connection, which makes M7 the cheapest 4k 32inch monitor with USB c.

No mention of color space or peak brightness, don't expect too high at this price point. You are lucky if all ports work as expected and last for 3 years.

I wouldn't buy this unless you can find a review (two preferably) from a reliable source. (Re: Not a buyer, an actual website that reviews monitors)

That's like comparing LED to OLED Tv's. If someone is in the market for OLED, then it doesn't matter how much the LED Tv cost.

For some reason, the price difference between 32 inch IPS vs VA is much much greater than the price difference between smaller screens IPS vs VA. It's like twice the price most of the times for 32 inch IPS vs VA.

My guess is that because the 32in is just the right size that let most people use the full 4K res without having to use scaling above 100% to be able to read the fonts at native scaling.
Also i guess because it's the biggest size "proper" computer "monitor" instead of the rare 40 in monitors based on TV or using TV as monitor. for most, 40in is too big to fit on desktop as well as if you sit at normal distance you will have to turn your head to see left and right edge of the screen.

I finally got the lcd and testing it right now. It's quite nice and bright I wish i have a colorimeter to test its brightness, but it's bright enough that i have to turn down from the default 50 to 34. no dead pixel.

Comes with an external fairly sizable 120W power brick

usb-c hdmi DP input works as expected

you can run 10 bit 4K 60hz 4:4:4 using the usb-c which has the DP 1.4 function. It seems like using HDMI and regular DP i can only get it to run at 8 bit 60hz 4K

under HWinfo, it shows WAM3150 as monitor hardware ID . Date of manu: wk 28 2021

It does have freesync. I will try to test that out if freesync is avail on all ports..

again, the stand is the saddest since it only allows for tilting adjustment. But at least the default position is not bad.

Dell 32" 4K curved monitor for extra few bucks. It is VA but much more reliable and better looking IMO

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...WMRRP?th=1

I have one from 2 years ago and use it everyday.
