This projector comes with an alr screen. You would need to spend around $500 to buy a comparable screen for the Wemax. Both are really good deals. Hisense calibrates their projectors to their screen and thus achieves better colors and sharpness in my opinion. This projector just recently launched earlier this year at $4500. I have only been able to find reviews from last year's model. But the specs list this with brighter ansi lumens (2700 vs 2100 Wemax). On top of that this one has hdmi 2.1, eARC, Backlit remote. I would expect this to be better in ambient light and slightly better in a dark room.

Not quite as bright (not far off) not near as good as black levels, but a pretty amazing picture for 120".

I own an OLED and last year's Hisense 120". Whenever I have guests over no one wants to watch the OLED.
That doesn't say anything about the quality. Most people are generally drawn towards picture size over picture quality.

price shown at FINAL checkout

LOL
I did see that. Price still shows full amount at checkout. Not sure if the deal has expired.

Here is the mistake I did. Same item was listed for 2 prices. Adding the lower priced item did not give the discount. Adding the higher priced item gave the discount at checkout. Use the links provided in the post to locate the correct item instead of searching for it in the website.

25,000 hour lifespan? I guess it's long but is it really? What is that almost 9 years at 8 hours a day. If that 25k is guarantee, I suppose great deal.

Maybe I should buy one of these for my local community center, you know pay it forward kind of thing.

Wow. These projectors are going to have to keep getting cheaper now that 75" TVs are $650 at Walmart and 86" are $1300 at Costco.

How does "Laser" compare to "Oled"?
A laser projector such as this is the equivalent of a mid-tier TV.

Oh, there are brighter, but nothing 99% of us could probably care to spend. Sony has some high end and then some VERT high end projectors under their belt (10k lumens).

I just bought a TV or I would honestly really have considered buying this. Wondering if I should cancel my TV order by I think it already shipped.

Is the included screen acoustically transparent? I have L/R/C in-wall speakers around my 75" TV, and this 100" screen would go right over them.
from Q & A on BB website:
"Hello JOExCONSUMER, thank you for your interest in the Hisense 120L9G-CINE120A. Regrettably, the ALR screen is not acoustically transparent and Hisense does not offer an upgrade to acoustic transparency. If you have any further questions or concerns, please give us a call at 1-888-935-8880 or email us at [email protected]."

This might be a stupid question, but does anyone know if this screen has to be mounted completely flush to the wall?

I have a fire alarm speaker in my wall where this would need to go that is probably 3-4 mm thick.

I've seen this exact comment last year when I was looking for projectors.

Not a stupid question, I would suggest looking up a "How to install" video since that might answer your question by giving you a visual.
