I have a crap load of USB-C cables that mixes and matches of 60W/100W, USB2/USB3, Alt Mode/Non-Alt mode for video, etc...I have no idea which is which.
the only reliable one I've seen is the Anker Powerline II (not II+ or III, just II).
those generic brands all claim to be mfi certified but actually they only certified one or few of their products while most others are not.

As someone else mentioned, I also only buy cables that are rated for 100 Watts. I personally don't care to much about the transfer speed.
I also don't mind spending $3.00 more for a cable that is rated this way.
I have purchased a few cables, I got
1. UGREEN and
2. BASEUSA
These two companies seem to be the new norm for decent Chinese quality and I highly recommend them.
I did my purchase through Ali Express so I can save a few bucks.
The cables are about the same price.
Side note here.... My favorite cable is the one with a digital screen showing the wattage being used by your device to charge your device.
Surely a cable that is rated for 100w will be better then a cable that is not rated at all. And if you buy UGREEN or BASEUSA from Amazon, you are paying WAY WAY WAY to much.

The Amazon Basics cables at Woot are 6' length and limited lifetime warranty. These Dynex are 3' length and 3 month warranty.
