Esports?

I don't think a photoshop designer, coder, videographer, etc will mind a 5ms delay

I'm a coder (dual screens of this) and don't notice any latency. The brightness is a bit lower than I would have liked but got used to it.

I've been watching and waiting for this to go on sale again. Previous sales were $150 off, for $500. Last time was January, I think.

I'm having trouble pulling the switch, now that I've seen OLED. Must...resist...

Scrolling is less enjoyable in 60hz vs 100+ but it's hardly as important as having more pixels for sharper text, better color, etc. It is near the end of the nice to haves for coding/spreadsheet etc work.

5ms vs 2ms for work? Really doesn't matter.

I think the HP U32 is a much better value at $450 (same price since last month)... It doesn't have the Ergo stand but it wouldn't work for my desk anyway, still got a solid metal height adjustable stand. 4K 60hz, 400 nits (brighter than the LG), HDR, USB-C, IPS, factory calibrated, 99% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3... Got one last month for wfh, really happy with it.

The only place I've ever read 98% DCI-P3 for this monitor was at Amazon. It's not listed in any of HP's documentation. Do you have a source besides Amazon?

It also seems crazy that the HP monitor can't do 10-bit color and HDR at the same time.

Anyone use this for photoshop and premier pro work. What's your thoughts
This monitor is beautiful and would be great for editing photos and videos.

The only negative is if you plan on color grading HDR footage because this monitor isn't bright enough for high quality HDR. I know a lot of people don't touch HDR footage because of unfamiliarity so if HDR is not an area you'll venture into, this monitor will be gorgeous for you.

i own this monitor, great monitor, but i hope to wait for the OLED version of it. wouldn't want to buy the same monitor twice, the second one must be better than the first one.

Do you need a dock to use this as a second display or can it just plug into the display port and work as such?

The ergo stands is what makes this 50% more appealing.

I can see someone who doesn't have a larger monitor, wants a monitor that is stylish and wants to work from home with a laptop this makes a lot of sense. I can't justify getting this since I have a HP 32 inch 60hz 1440 with free sync monitor which I got for $180. IPS, Ergo stand, USB-C, and 4k is not worth the $550 in my opinion. Especially since the ergo stand, while looks probably better than any other stand it not as ergo as some of the higher end ones we can find on Amazon.
Yes. I bought the lg from Costco as a work from home monitor for $450. I also have a cheaper $300 32 ultrawide non 4k monitor. My old eyes canr see much difference for work purposes.

Check out hp u32.

If you aren't doing 10bit and hdr AND THE SAME TIME (you must pick) it's brighter i believe than this. It's at minimum 450 nits. It's 450 on sale now. Very similar to this. This one the advantage is a believe lg has DP 1.4 rather than 1.2 like the HP model. Also with HP you can get a 3 year warranty for 30. IN my case if your just doing productivity i went with 10bit. HDR it's hard to adjust the brightness in windows and it get too bright for working i felt. That said it's an absurd limitation so i always bring that up. This is also a good monitor worth considering though at this price. The price did inflate a lot from last year. I think Lg's the warranty is a little off putting. I prefer more like a 3 year personally. They fail at a somewhat low rate, but i use mine for work so it gets a lot of hours.

I have two. The stand on the hp is great. The screen is great. All the money went into the panel and screen. It's just that it's only dp 1.2 as the disadvantage.

I think the real world brightness is closer to 450 than 400 at least on mine. The colors are spot on.

I purchased this in the last price drop at Costco for $500. Decent monitor for work, everyday tasks, watching videos and browsing. I also bought the Samsung M7 monitor and a open box Jarvis monitor arm for about 400 at Bestbuy. The Ergo monitor is way better in terms of colors than M7. The M7 comes with a remote and suit of Samsung apps unlike the Ergo.

1. Multiple Inputs - If you have multiple input devices connected, Ergo makes it harder to switch as you have to use the flimsy Joystick control on the monitor. With M7, you can use the remote to switch between inputs.

2. USB issue - When you have multiple inputs connected via HDMI and USB-C, If you have the USB -C input idle for a long time, it switches the USB circuit off and even the regular USB outputs on the monitor will loose power for power saving. So if you use a light bar, sometimes it won't turn on.

Some minor issues but I like my ergo monitor better than M7.

I can't find it for $450, where it is on sale at? Thanks.

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a work monitor for the last couple of weeks now. This LG monitor deal looks good, but I was also considering Dell 34'' curved monitor S3423DWC (https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...cessories). This also supports usb c and comes with a $200 gift card + Amex $120 discount, which brings it to about $450.
Which one do you guys think would be better for work?
