Yes most of the free tools in this deal are either extreme low end, several generations behind, or both. The other battery kit deal for $199 with the 3 HP batteries + free brushless tool is a much better value with newer/updated tools.
This $99 kit is a really good value too since we all need batteries, but think of the free tools are just a starting point to get you to upgrade.

Pro: Work like trimmer and edger (but there will be con as below)
Con:
1. Trimmer: Wire is thin and broken frequently plus the auto-feed trimmer wire feature will make wire replacement even faster. I read somewhere on youtube how to turn off this feature

2. Edger: Will do the job but no edge guider (the metal piece that can lean to the concrete edge) so you have to guide manually.
Maybe I need the large light....lol.
If you want this deal to get these high capacity batteries, you're better off choosing something other than the drill.
I got a Ryobi cordless hammer drill similar to the one sold here from their outlet store in "factory blemished" condition for under $15 including sales tax earlier this year. "Factory Blemished" from Direct Tools Outlet typically means "like new, in an unopened box" as I've bought about 8 or 9 tools from them, and all were new in box.

Barely lasted half a day.
I've done this before and usually get $85 to $90 out of the batteries. It's not that bad dealing with marketplace for tools, just respond to a few messages and set a meeting place and I've never had any issues.
My response to her was lady we are meeting away from my house precisely because of people like you. If you want to see if it will run for longer than 10 minutes i'll waste the time for you to stand here and unpack the obviously new drill and keep it running for ten minutes, but i'm not telling you where i live or taking you to my house.
