That sounds like a lot of work! And you have to use Facebook. No thanks.

Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

I chose the trimmer too. Did you see you can flip the string cutter to 11'' from the 13'' there by saving a little money.

I ordered from ebay 12 plastic pre loaded spools of line for $14 and when consumed will refill them from a bulk spool.
I did try adjusting the length yet. I will give a try this weekend. Thanks

I got the combo with the impact driver.
the impact driver went OOS and I end up getting charged $66 for the two battery and charger.

is that a good deal?

I think the deal is dead. No longer gives me the option to add a free tool, says "this deal has sold out".

Tried to order the string trimmer/edger just now and couldn't get it to work. Chatted with HD and the agent said that Ryobi gave them a specific number, per sku, which could be sold at the Ryobi Days special pricing. After they reached that number online the tools went back to their regular prices and can no longer be chosen as a free tool.

I may try a different agent tomorrow or try to local HD to see if I can get around that.

Heads up. I was unable to return, in store or manually.omline, the single sku combo of batteries plus router. You get 2 separate boxes, they are unable to pull up the order in store even with the receipt. Had to talk to online cs to get a label. And u suspect that's gonna be a problem when they receive it

But still, the time involved just doesn't seem worth it, I sell the extra batteries from kits on ebay usually, no mess, no fuss. 5 minutes and done. I don't have to worry about "is this still available" and "would you take half the asking price"
I don't do Marketplace for tools, but cash-only sales are as much effort as eBay with Best Offer on. Same amount of time to make the post, you ignore lowballs, then once you've made the sale you drive a few minutes and you're done. All of those are things you'd do with eBay anyway. Responding to "is this available" is literally 2 taps on your phone, eBay you have to load the whole app and go through menus and review each offer individually. Also, don't have to worry about eBays policy of always siding with buyers in disputes and getting screwed. Buddy of mine sold boat parts for years on eBay, then he started getting the worn parts back as "not as described" even though he photographs the serial number on each part he ships, and the serial on the one received back. Lost his money every time. It's the only thing I use Facebook for other than birthday reminders for cousins, haven't posted or read a post in several years.

Deal only allows me to add the fogger and chemical sprayer and that's it...
I'd actually want the fogger and that's the only one I can't add.

One of our batteries bit it over the winter and needed a replacement. We also just bought the mower that uses these batteries. Extra ones charged means we get everything done at once. This was perfect for us! ❤️

FYI - For best practices with lithium batteries, don't store them for long periods fully charged or fully discharged.

I think answering my own question here but when I use the link in the deal, it shows as $200. When I used this link https://promotions.ryobitools.com...free-tool/ it worked correctly. DO NOT clink the $99 BUY NOW button but rather scroll to the free tool you want to add on and everything should add to cart correctly.

Thank you so much, that worked!!!

Anyone able to get the trimmer/edger recently? I went to the store to pick it up and was told it was an online SKU only and to get it delivered. After that it was removed from the list of free tools.

I "chatted" (texted) with them and they said that they were able to order it for me and they ordered the hedge trimmer for me. 😑

I really only need the batteries. If I get this deal, can I return the free tool and get some credit from Home Depot? The hackable deal usually works the other way around.

I want to point out they used to offer the 6.5" circular saw two years ago. Last year they started doing the 5.5" circular Saw. That is not good. They also used to have the 10 or 12" chain saw a few years back. I don't see that one on this years deal.
