That sounds like a lot of work! And you have to use Facebook. No thanks.

Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

The $104 tool options are all gone. Looks like Ryobi only had a certain amount of those for online orders but you may still find a bundle containing one of those tools at your local HD. The $104 brought the battery(s) price down to about $46 if that's all you were after. I picked up the V2 fan (got the V1 last year) and while it's bigger in size, it's definitely has more punch on the high setting. Like the new fan so much I hacked another combo for the fan.

I really only need the batteries. If I get this deal, can I return the free tool and get some credit from Home Depot? The hackable deal usually works the other way around.
If your in the NY/PA/NJ area, I would be willing to buy the light or the leaf blower from you, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the trouble to you.

I'm not really sure why more people don't actually sell the pieces that they don't want on Marketplace, you make more money back than you do just by taking it back to the store for a prorated refund.
If you hold on to the batteries until after Ryobi day is over especially, you can easily get a hundred bucks for him making it a truly free tool if all you wanted was the tool.
They didn't let me return part of a deal I bought recently and the only reason I can think of is that it was part of a deal.

For someone looking to build a ryobi set (for home maintenance), what is the best way to use this deal? I already have one battery and the drill.

Sorry, opposite side of the country in LA. Used to be a NYer for 45 years until a year ago.

If I were you I'd wait for Direct Tool to have another Blemish Sale and pick a needed tool as a kit with another battery and charger for $50. You want the smaller batteries for you drill and having two batteries you should be able take care of any homeowner drilling and driving.

Well my batteries are lost by FedEx in the mail somewhere. And between this and a bunch of tools I ordered from direct tool outlet I have a bunch of tools that are useless without any batteries. Smh. Hopefully home Depot will reship the batteries and offer the promo once FedEx stops looking.

Out of all the tools available, which one is the best deal?
if you have none already these 2 have been my most used over the years thus probably best ones to pick
Impact driver ... followed closely by Reciprocating Saw

if you got a bunch of little trees and hedges around your yard then

22 in. Cordless Battery Hedge Trimmer would be solid choice and probably best overall bang for buck..?

Couldn't get this to replicate with the 250CFM leaf blower (which is linked in the post description). However if you are really needing a blower it does work for the 200 CFM leaf blower (NOT listed in post description). — just an FYI

I'm also on mobile so maybe that's why but I don't need to spend money so I'm quitting while I'm ahead

Yeah I went with the 22inch hedge trimmer. Seems nice.

Someone mentioned that the customer rep told them there is a limit on each item for the combo. He mentioned you can try in store, but I don't think the blower is sold in stores. I was able to add it earlier on, but the price change when I came back yesterday. People probably exhausted the trimmer and blower for hacking the battery price, since they had the highest price value. I assume all of these returned trimmers and blowers will show up at DTO in a few month.

Thanks OP. My reciprocating saw started to smoke from the motor yesterday so I stopped by my local HD and got the saw plus the two batteries. I figured this is the best option at this time.
