Just a note on these disc openers... you can actually open them fast, with some practice..
If you know how to do a Spyderco "Spidey Flick" you can use a variation on the disc to open it quickly.

OK deal but I have never understood why a professional manufacturer would use these disc-washer type deployment catches in place of standard thumb studs. They look awful and feel clumsy. It looks like a shop class project with that little wheel at the top. I know some manufacturers do this but the appeal is just baffling to me.

I have a bunch of Amish customers. For a minute I thought maybe they're the only ones who don't buy anything made in China. Then I remembered they pretty much all have cellphones these days and do a lot of their shopping at Walmart, so even they don't completely avoid China-made goods (not that they'd actively single out China anyway). And I'll never understand why they'd think that the name Innuendo is a good name for a knife. Certainly not an actual knife collector naming this thing.
