Can't believe the Steelseries Arctis 7X Wireless Gaming Headset is in stock and on sale! This baby works not only for Xbox but is also compatible with PS5, plus much better sound quality than console's 1st party headsets. Because of that, it's still selling at $298 on Amazon.
Hurry, grab one from SteelSeries while you can.

I too got these maybe 6 months ago at Walmart clearance price of I think $50? They don't sound incredible on either Xbox Series X or PS5, but they do work great on both otherwise, and are very comfortable. The biggest thing is poor bass response. For $50 - $80 I would say these are worth it, but any higher and I would have been a bit disappointed.

Exactly my thoughts on pricing etc .. I even adjusted the eq hoping for a solid performing headset as reviews state there superior to the A50s but I have to admit the only thing they have over the A50 really is comfort but my Astros with the mod kit is alot better especially if you like to hear footsteps and you can find a solid set of gen 3 A50s for around the same price last I looked if not less "refurbished" then the pricing on here

I had bought the arctis 5 (wired) a couple years ago, because i was initially stubborn to accept wireless headphones when the xbox allows you to plug in the controller. After a few years of use, i was happy with sound but unhappy with being attached to a controller.
Also, the arctis 5 has a very different contraption for the strap that simply did not hold up over time. It felt a bit big too, which is odd because i have a very average 7&3\4" hat size. The 5 also has a plastic headband rather than the metal on the arctis 7.
I bought the arctis 7 on sale recently. I am actually very please with the sound (its a bit better than the 5), bass response is pleasing (not quite Beats, but also not fully neutral).
The build quality is terrific and clamping force very decent.
My only gripe (silly gripe) is that the dongle that connects to the xbox is USB C, which requires a USB A-USB C cable (provided), which is kind of dumb to have 3' wire to have to now manage on my tv console.
Also dumb: the charging cable is micro USB. Which is fine, but irrational. Why have a usb dongle and micro usb charge cable. I know there are solutions, but the problem shouldnt exist in this day and age.
Other than just the VERY minor gripes, i am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to using this headset for years to come.
Side plus: it isnt advertised as far as I can tell, but Xbox fully works with Atmos and DTS:X with this headset and it sounds terrific.
