Costco ends your membership at the end of the month regardless of when the membership was activated in that month.

NJ's Gas laws are definitely an outlier in the northeast.
No membership in CT:
Food Court
Pharmacy (only prescriptions)
Alcohol
Not sure how Alcohol works with their limits on stuff like scotch since it's bound to the account. CT has all sorts of blue laws. I thought Footloose was just a quirky movie until I moved here. Who knew it was a historical documentary?
Next guy might as well say "my dream is for Costco to go 100% vegan, lol…" And tv's emit too much CO2 so let's get rid of those too.

Costco [consumerreports.org]: Membership is not required for purchases of alcohol in the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Texas and Vermont.
BJ's Wholesale Club: Membership is not required for purchases of alcohol in the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Texas and Vermont.
Sam's Club: No membership required!
since they are the same between BJ's and Costco, I highly suspect state laws.
Also, eye & hearing exams (but not the products like contacts, glasses, etc) [note these are usually 3rd parties that have an office inside Costco]

Just to reference, my wife and I fill up once a week in both of our cars at Costco, we shop there every two weeks or so, and spend around $200-$300 a month in the store (maybe more during Christmas/Thanksgiving), plus a big ticket item or two thrown in.
Our rewards from the Citi Visa and the membership were $422 last year.
Why I like SD forums is I can ask other users:
Someone tagged onto someone else's membership is only tied to a membership how? By name and email linked to the other person's main account? If that person went to Costco with this offer and a different email address, did not disclose they've been on someone else's membership - would they be able to use this?
Does your total for this deal reflects discounted amount when you check out?

That sounds right - the eye place is independent so that's the same in CT. Ours doesn't have a photo center any more (thank goodness - it got super reviews and performed awful).
The only limits on alcohol that I've seen are their kirkland mid/mid & high scotch because members with money buy them out almost instantly.
