Yup as expected, it is the best card to buy during this time frame if you need one right now because of the newer GPU generation release from AMD and NVIDIA. Meaning it will not hurt your wallet or lost too much in value later on. After all, once you OC it is a stock GTX 1080, used ~40 watts less, and is more energy-efficient, and it would not heat your room during gaming. Plus, it is a pretty good GPU for esports gamers.
Lastly, Ethereum miner is already able to unlock 90% of this card's potential and might be a factor it sold out quickly because it is cheap.

The $250 RTX 3050 is back in stock now and the 3060ti is OOS.

If you going to OC this 3050 w/1777MHz boost core clock version, then a good starting point would be +175 to the core clock, +750 memory, max out power (111%), and temperate (90°C) limit. If the GPU is OC stable you can push it higher if you want. If noise from the fan is bothersome I suggest to made a custom fan curve and limited to 60-72°C with a fan speed of 60-64%. If you own any 3050 w/1845MHz boost clock version, then start with +100 to the core clock and everything else the same as above.
The attachment picture with Fire Strike free ver. benchmark w/core clock boosted constantly settle at 2085mhz and you can use it to compare. This OC with custom 62% max fan curve (68°C) for semi-quiet gamer and pulling around ~145 watts peak board power according GPU-z.
I got my 3070 XC Black Gaming Non-LHR from the EVGA queue for $529.99 last year, I signed up when they announced them and got it 6 months later. Looks like the LHR are going to be reaching that price point soon.

Newegg has a Gigabyte 3070 for $599 often in stock. Not sure I want a Gigabyte though.
