What does limiting charge percentage do? First time I hear of this.

So if I plug it in at 55% it won't waste a charge cycle.
My Galaxy Book Flex just hit two years old since release and battery health is 98.9%.
Charge limiting is a really good feature. Wish all laptop manufacturers would add the function.
Less e-waste.
Oddly, a lot of Alienware laptops lack the function. Because Dell thinks gaming laptops don't need that function for some reason.
Dells charge limit app doesn't support Alienware, which is dumb. The Alienware bios battery bypass also does not work correctly.
Does the LG gram laptop from Costco deal from the other day have limit charging feature?

Some HP Pavilion laptops can also limit charge with updated bios but it still shows 100% even though it drops charge to actual 90% after like a week of being plugged in. Even with that, battery health on my Pavilion 15 dropped to 89% after a year of light use. This is absolute dealbreaker for me and I am never buying another HP laptop, rather spend on a Framework. I don't see the battery holding up past 3 years in my Pavilion even as one of the lucky few with the charge limiter. An upcoming workaround is Chargie for Laptops but even it's absolute hell to try to find an eventual battery replacement.
Thanks man, went to Costco and bought the 5825u version for my dad instead.
