​They sell a kit that has it all together. The plunge base is not as nice as the Bosch, but the kit is a far better value when it comes around at $99. Unfortunately is has been rare to see. The $69 for this is still a good value, but it's often this price, and having to purchase the plunge base separately may negate all of the value. I would probably only buy this for a router table or fixed task.

I am a rookie when it comes to routing, but is this not a kit with the plunge base?

I honestly have no idea what the plunge base is used for yet. Without looking into it yet I feel like the OP is the better deal for me, but hopefully this helps someone?

Looks like Amazon has a Dewalt stand alone plunge base kit for $75, or a Bosch one for $100. No idea if those are compatible with this, but it makes the $149 combo set at Lowes look ok.

Shipped and sold by Amazon! So I used the $10 off Amazon hub coupon, and got this router for $63.57 with tax, minus my 5%, so $60.39... yeah. What a deal.

The plunge base is hard to find from the market, unless you go for the kit from Lowe's for $139, but I would rather go for more expensive Bosch at that price.
