Turns out it's 6 months for the phone to be unlocked. I'll pass.

The $60 plan ($90 for two lines) comes with free Amazon prime, but to use it, you need to not have Amazon prime already, so the only way is to let your current prime membership expire. That made it useless for me.
Also comes with 100gb Google One membership. Haven't activated that yet.
I was able to activate an old Unlocked Note 10+ on the line of the iPhone 11 I traded in, and it is working just fine. At the very least, I get 1 month of free unlimited data with 15gb hotspot.

Purchased iP11 on 4/19/2022.
Been checking unlock status every few days from day 180 onward.
Today, on day 199, iP11 is unlocked.
Last I checked was maybe 2-3 days ago.
So I think phone unlocks around day 195, or batches sometime during the middle of the week.
ymmv.
edit: only paid first month, original sim left in device and connected as wifi device the whole time
6 months back and Tried drawer trick.
I checked it as its 182nd day today and the phone did not unlock.
Has the unlock policy changed.
But android phones unlocked before 180 days, around 175th day.
I paid for a month and ported out number to t-mobile and used t-mobile sim in android phone for last 5months
Still unlocked
I just bought it for trade-in deals so I don't really care if it doesn't unlock. Maybe Metro has changed the unlock policy or maybe it needs a few more days.

My phone unlock requires call to metro customer care.
I just had services for a month.
Metro confirmed that my phone is eligible for unlock
I did not have the original sim in phone for 180 days. Had it run on rsim all these days
apparently they were waiving the in store act fee of 20 over last 2-3 days.
that promotion ended yesterday.
