Speaking of batteries -- for a small-medium sized fixed site battery installation (like 2-6 decent size batteries) what battery products / types / vendors are suggested for being overall lifetime most cost effective, reliable, durable, etc.? I don't have a preconceived notion of needing flooded lead acid, sealed lead acid, AGM, gel cell, lithium iron phosphate just looking for about 24V and a few hundred amp hours of deep cycle capacity to start. The area doesn't get persistently hot, though it does freeze overnight for several weeks over winter and have cool high humidity nights / mornings for several months out of the year.
So maybe charge between 400W-1000W part of the day and have batteries available the rest of the time.
So what are the metrics for cost per Ah and cost per charge cycle (assuming thousands of partial or occasionally nearing full discharge recharges over the life time of the batteries)?
What is going to be better total cost of ownership for maintenance, battery box heating requirements, service life in years vs. cost?
And where does one get "slick deals" on deep cycle batteries other than some of the fancy LiFeP power banks occasionally advertised here (which is not so much what I'm thinking of here presuming higher cost and less scalability vs. basic battery products DIYed)?

Careful if you go down this rabbit hole...
I was looking for something about modifying my Goal Zero Yeti and stumbled upon his youtube channel first, then his forums.
21 KWh worth of LifePo4 batteries, and 6000W of Victron inverting output later... it became a fun/expensive project.
SOK batteries are what I first considered, then the rack batteries hit the market.
I went with Signature Solar [signaturesolar.com] rack batts in the end.

However, the Acopower Monos have been that price several times recently. I would always choose Mono if there is no price difference
I've purchased those Acopower monos the last couple of times they were on sale and I can't see any production differences between them and any of the other 100 watt panels (renogy, bouge, rich, etc.)

I guess they make them, but it's rare to find a 200 watt panel that is a 12 volt like the 100 watt panels. Once you go that high, the panels are usually 24 or 36 volt. It's not necessarily an issue, but if the panel is 24 or 36 volts you'll need an MPPT controller that can handle that voltage. With a 12 volt panel(s) you can just use a cheap PWM controller like the Renogy Wanderer.
I've read a few forums regarding rack mounted panels. They mentioned wind noise and possible reduction of MPG due to drag. Obviously it's better to have them as low as possible.
Hope this helps/
I told the truck driver there should be 2 panels, but he said maybe it's on another truck, but there was only 1 shipping label.
Pretty annoying.
