Just a quick note on this model. The top is not completely flat. We were considering this for a dorm fridge for the fall for our daughter, but it wouldn't be ideal to put a microwave on top with the curved edges. Otherwise, it's a decent fridge, and this is an excellent price for it.

Hi DS, I contacted Home Depot customer service today; I was told that they NO longer price match Amazon.

For what t's worth (about $13.75 ?) TEXAS ENERGY STAR SALES TAX HOLIDAY May 28-30. AMZ even knows about it.... No sales tax today if buying from Texas address.

My son had this at college and microwave worked fine on top

Her roommate is buying the microwave, so we can't be sure if the sizes would match up. The fridge we bought is a Whirlpool, which is made by Galanz anyway, so it's basically the same.

Specs say annual energy consumption 321kwh. That's a lot for a fridge this size. A modern full-size refrigerator uses under 400kwh.
Edit: I should say that my 21cu.ft fridge uses 394kwh/yr. Larger ones will no doubt use more power.

good deal but dont expect it to last - mine died just before the 1 yr warranty expired and Galanz just refunded me the purchase amount, not even worth it for them to fix it..
