I am not associated with Costco, nor am I associated with Slickdeals. I enjoy transforming mass quantities of data and shaping it into something useful. If you're familiar with Marie Kondo or TheHomeEdit, this is just me re-organizing products into a nicer, easier to view format and manage.
I automatically calculate the highest discount percentages, sort them, categorize them, create navigation links, find the latest price drops, mark the highest quality products, and note the best deals to the best of my abilities. In addition to that, I link products to their relevant discussions if applicable. Please enjoy Smilie
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I must say I appreciate the effort the OP is putting behind a post like this and the thought process around it, but I'm also trying to understand the value of it on Slickdeals as I scroll through. Maybe it's just me, but a post with that many products just thrown out there at one time it almost seems easier to just scroll through Costco's site where I can see the products and savings already.
Are you able to tell at a glance computers and electronics (or any category) are featured? Or are they scattered throughout Costco's web page?
Are you able to see the discount percentages? Are they even sorted by highest to lowest discount?
Can you tell immediately if a product has had price drops recently without clicking into the product pages? In the same vein, can you tell that if a product is 4.7+ rated with over 25+ reviews? Can you see the shipping options in a glance?
Are you going to see relevant links to discussions within the SlickDeals community regarding specific products (once they become available)?
Does the Costco website even promote discussion about sales and products on their site?

I think all these things I've setup this way add value, otherwise I wouldn't do it. It's a practice I started and optimized over the past few weeks. If you guys have any suggestions on how I can improve the layout, let me know. If it's feasible and I can do it, then I'll do it. Thanks for looking Smilie
A lot of the value you discussed is something the Costco website needs to improve on. Again, I really do think you have a lot of good things here, just not meant for Slickdeals. I don't come here to see all of Costco's deals, just want the slick ones.

Costco is always more expensive than normal sale prices at regular grocery stores. If you never but anything on sale then Costco is cheaper.

For example I always buy soda 4x12 Cans for $11.99 or 3x12 Cans for $9.99 or $10.99 (or similar). Costco is 35 Cans for $14.49 (and Costco soda cans have misprints or faded prints so they are basically B grade). Normal price for cans is 3x $6.99= $20.97 which I have never paid in my life, so yes Costco is cheaper than "normal price" but it's not cheaper than very common sale price.

Typical beef goes for $4-$7 in our stores depending on type. Costco is $5-$8 for same stuff.

Fruit is 2x my local stores so can't even compare.

1/2 Milk carton is same price as TJs but have to buy 3x at Costco and whenever we did that we ended up throwing away at least one of Costco's because 3 is too much.

Costco return is marketed as the best however the ONLY stores that asks me why I am returning something bis Costco. Walmart, Targets Home Depot, Lowe's, Marshalls, Kohl's, I never get asked "why you returning this, anything wrong with it" , Target sometimes asks if I want to replace it but that's it. And the return line at Costco is always the longest and slowest of all.

Kuerig cups are cheaper than Target but still more than every deal posted on Slickdeals. But I have to buy way too many so drinking stale coffee always.

Costco is the only store makes me pay them for the privilege to pay them for merchandise. I've paid Costco over $1600 for literally nothing but membership over past 15 years , all my other stores all been free (even my 2 years of Sam's Club have been free with coupons)

HotDogs, Rotisserie chicken are cheap. Toilet paper and Paper towel are sometimes slightly cheaper than Target.

Gas is cheaper by a few cents comparing to my local mom and pop but Sam's Club is even cheaper and their CC offers 5% back so can't even compare. Lines are always 15 minutes longer than normal gas stations and 5 minutes longer than Sam's Club and that's intentional , Costco gas pumps don't let you do thinks simultaneously like select gas type while their slow computer is looking up your membership. No I never get gas as She'll or 76 or Chevron so I don't buy luxury gas to say 'costco is cheaper' so I guess it depends on people's habits.

Not bashing Costco, just stating the fact that they are the most profitable retailer on the planet, every single quarter, for a reason. They make more money per quarter than Amazon does in multiple years. Guess who pays for that.

I am unfortunately still a member because my family thinks Costco is cheap.

Let the Costco cult unleash their wrath now!
Keep one's brain fresh and do not be hurry shopping in Costco. Costco is not attractive but one may join it because of current groupon's deal, $60 membership with $40 shop card and $40 online shopping discount. For a long term shopping Costco does not save one's money, though!

You're not wrong, but you're also not looking at everything.

For example, in my part of the country, before recent current events, Costco always had cheaper gas than anywhere else, even compared to Sam's, and it is current $.20 cheaper than regular places (haven't checked Sam's since my last gas run). This is a return to standard for me for gas prices. But gas prices are also super weird and super regional, so I'm not surprised to hear your experience is different.

Moreover, Costco products are, on the whole, more expensive than Sam's or any other wholesale club, so on a 1-to-1 comparison basis, you're definitely losing out. However, it carries products that Sam's doesn't carry or is much more expensive at a standard grocer. And by this, I mostly mean Asian (or Asian-ish) items, such as Ito En tea. But sometimes, it's just a matter of selection. For example, my recent TV acquisition was from Costco, who had the latest version of the TV I picked. Best Buy was more expensive, and Sam's didn't carry the size I wanted.

For your use case, I'm not surprised you think Costco isn't worth it, only surprised you haven't tried to convince others to drop the Costco membership. For my use case, I don't mind the $60, but certainly, it's an evaluate-the-value-every-year thing instead of just letting the charge go through like I do for Sam's or Amazon.

The disconnect between Costco Online and Costco stores, though, drives me absolutely insane. Hateful.

Hey Brooklynite: Your point is very much valid, as well as many other opinion here.
But as you stated on your opening sentence: "Costco is more expensive compared to sales items on other regular stores". Is the most valid point of them all!
Sales in stores often range for a week aka "weekly deals", your cans of sodas mostly go on sale once every other month, if not you may need to jump to another store chain to acquire such a sale, so it's still a YMMV at best.
Gas around d my parts are pretty bad lines, and I have found one or 2 stations that have cheaper gas, but this is a rare occasion. "Often at not so great parts of town"
I get your points except on meat, due to inflation, and demand I rather purchase any meat, fish, poultry product at Costco than any other chain, my preference if cleanliness, and more than anything PRICE. Most meat doesn't go on sale unless less desirable cuts, (rib eye Costco 10.99$/lb vs Kroger 15.99/lb).

I'm sorry your family makes you pay a membership, peer pressure affects us all. I am part of that crowd.

But unless you're talking about the current sale; you're only venting to many other SlickDealers that read comments for opinions on tech, clothing, etc.

With that said; I enjoy Costco even if it's far as hell for me. If you ask me why, it's because I do, plain and simple. I hope you find some enjoyment in your next warehouse run, like the Jamaican empanadas that they are currently sampling.

Cheers
Cheers!!

Yes. I bought 2 last year when they were this price. The fan seems a bit noisy on the highest setting, but after a while, it becomes like white noise. I wish it had a remote or app to control and change the settings, but you can also use a smart plug to set schedules and to turn off /on as needed. The speed will still have to be adjusted manually.

Upgrade to executive membership for $60 at a store but get another $50 store shop card. As a result, you pay $120 membership but get a total of $90 shop card and $40 discount of $250 online purchase.

Are you sure Executive membership is valid for getting the $40 shop card from Groupon?

Read carefully, "but get another $50 (not $40) store shop card". Yes, that is said by the store people at the registration desk.

I think there was a Winix one with remote app control, that would be actually very useful to have, you can use it to prep before bedtime or before coming home, or remotely turn off.

You can use the Costco iOS app. It has separate sections for clearance, online sales, warehouse sales, etc.

I've found Sam's Club is much cheaper overall on products than Costco. Despite inflation, Sam's Club still sells 80/20 freshly ground beef for $3.89/lb. It's been that price for a long time. Costco meat prices are higher than Sam's Club. We have memberships to both, but mostly shop Sam's Club because it is a more pleasurable experience. Costco is stressful (parking, crowds, long lines to checkout, etc.). Sam's club is not as crowded, has a scan-and-go app so can pay on my phone and walk out.

Now, we do buy our gas at Costco and some items that Sam's doesn't carry, and our yearly cash reward is more than the membership so membership is basically free plus some extra to splurge on their overpriced steaks. Smilie

I agree though, with the notion of paying for the privilege to shop in their stores, and even worse, more and more often their products are their own store brand which surely costs them less. I'd prefer to have a choice of Kirkland or name brand and not forced to buy Kirkland.

For me Costco offers more organic or healthier food items cheaper than other stores though Sams might be catching up now. For other stuff , the normal stores might be cheaper. Also for me it isn't just what you get back in cash rewards, but also what you save $ in organic or healthier options at Costco vs. other stores. Gas is cheaper at Costco for me than my local Bucees across the street from my house.I used to have Sams 13 yrs ago and they didn't have much organic, but from what hear now, they are caught up with Costco. No Sams really close to me now.

Costco generates profit from membership fees. It's pretty much a subscription service for retail. Many things are sold borderline at cost.
Gross profit shows 12.6% on their most recent financial statements

Don't forget that with Costco you get the fabulous return policy... and 4% back on gas with their credit card. I have an Executive membership for an extra 2% back which basically pays for my entire membership fee and then some.
