Amazon warranty is much better - get a new one and then just return it
No screwing around wasting your time

How is the amazon warranty better than costco

This happens if the ac unit is not level. Mine leaked but I adjusted the orientation to level it and it stopped.
Not level, technically you need to angel it slightly so the water flows away from your house.

Heads up, using this witn a GFCI outlet connected to an ArcFault breaker will constantly cause the GFCI outlet to trip. So if you are planning on using it in a garage like I do, you may need to change out a GFCI outlet if you have arcfault breakers.

Yep. Since I never used this style of bracket with an AC before, I used a level a number of times to make sure it was sloping to my liking. Before, I have built a wooden frame for the non-U shaped AC's to get the slope, and normally, I get the right slope.

I like having a 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch slope with most of my window ACs. I have check this one a few times to make sure it is sloped enough. With my last window AC, I had to slope more to 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch because it was building up too much water even with drain holes cleaned.

Edit: This is using a 12 inch level if someone wants to know.

Most newer windows, you can slide it out of its rails for cleaning. Two tabs on top of the window. Slide it upwards a bit to slide the ac in then slide it back down to lock. You may need two people.
Yes. I do this each year for my largest a/c. It won't slide in with the sash in place but once in place I can tilt the sash back in and it is tight against the unit.
There are also two snap in tabs at the top which if removed will allow the sash to go up another inch or so before needing to tilt it out. Check for those removable tabs.

August is our hot month, and my first month in the new place that has no AC. Last year we had a week of 117 degrees. Being without an AC is not an option in my book.

Seems to be dead, did you have a link in case I'm missing it?

I realize you posted 3+ days ago, so expecting it is dead.

Mine is starting to drive me crazy. Makes an annoying noise after a while that goes away for a bit by turning it off and on.
