I just bought it. I actually like stainless steel over non-stick cookware because they are more durable and I don't have to worry about eating Teflon pieces in my food. Stainless steel and cast iron is what I prefer. This cookware has 4.5 out of 5 stars (647 reviews) and is definitely better than what I am currently using so it is worth it to upgrade at this sale price.
I read some complaints from people who kind of expected nonstick performance from steel. I don't have any issues with steel. Just apply enough oil or butter. If you got sticking residue, let the pan soak a little bit and then use a little plastic scraper and it easily comes off. I never use any metal spatula or metal abrasive pad on my steel cookware for residue. I think it will cause scratches/scuffs. Never needed metal abrasive pad. Plastic pan scraper is what I use for cast iron and stainless steel when I need it. Plastic scraper won't scuff up a pan.
If you look at the seller, you would notice that the lowest $117.99 deal is from a 3rd party seller (Gadget Upgrade) and not the official Amazon.com. I would rather buy from official Amazon.com or Best Buy than 3rd party sellers because I find them more reputable especially with shipping and dealing with returns and warranties. I do buy from 3rd party sellers on Amazon at times but I still prefer Amazon.com being the seller. The official Amazon.com seller doesn't sell it. The average price from the 11 third party option sellers is $172.80. This deal is 33% cheaper than the lowest seller (Gadget Upgrade) on Amazon and 46% cheaper than the average 3rd party option sellers price.
No offense to the OP, because they aren't a SD employee, but when you get a deal alert for $80, with retail prices of $300 crossed out, it's total clickbait.
Check out the reviews with pictures on BB, looks like this set easily pits and rusts, so not great stainless quality. Was gonna jump until I saw several reviews with the same complaints.

We all know that it wasn't selling for its full msrp (manufacture suggested retail price) but I am just reporting what they list as the msrp. It is like when you see an older iPhone listing its old msrp or looking at JBL headphones that list its msrp. Take it with a grain of salt. One could compare the sale price with the other 11 Amazon 3rd party sellers to get a better understanding how it is valued. $172.80 is the average price from 3rd party Amazon sellers and then you can think what is its value to you.

Lot of people don't know what "stainless steel" means and don't know how to properly care for steel pans. They don't easily pit or rusts because it wouldn't be rated 4.5 out of 5. I think the big problem is many people don't know how to clean and care for steel cookware. Lot of people let their pans sit in the sink for many hours with water. I don't. I definitely don't do it with knives. Here are just 10 tips that makes your steel pans last very long. Some addresses pitting issues.
How to Care for Stainless-Steel Cookware
Prevention is key to keeping your stainless-steel pans clean and stain-free. Keep in mind that cold foods are more likely to stick to a hot pan, so allow refrigerated ingredients, such as raw meat, to sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before cooking. To prevent food from sticking, always preheat your pan before adding oil, then wait until the oil is hot to start cooking. When cooking pasta and similar dishes, wait to add salt until after the water is already boiling to avoid pitting corrosion, which causes small, irreparable dents in the bottom of your pan. With these simple tips, you can extend the life of your stainless-steel pans and keep this often-used cookware in pristine condition.
I always take care of stainless steel cookware and cast iron pans and they last forever and work perfectly. With nonstick cookware, they start flaking and don't last long.

My biggest complaint with stainless steel pans is the egg sticking NO MATTER WHAT, Low heat high heat using oil and butter etc, I think maybe once in the past year it didn't stick at all and I have no idea how. I think it was a cheap stainless pan from ikea, but aside from the egg issue I purchased a mini Teflon pan for it because I only have egg once a week if at all.
I'm just an armature cook but i can definitely say stainless pans and pots are amazing and as you mentioned, following those care instructions will REALLY help. If I made a super greasy dish I would let the pot sit with a drop of dish soap and water until I'm done eating and it all comes off so easily. When I don't clean it soon after making eggs then it's impossible to remove, I've thrown out a lot of stainless pans because of that. I've just stopped eating eggs lol

Ikea pans? I am sure lot of the blame is on the poor cheap $25 cookware set that weighs like a feather and cooks uneven. I won't skimp out on something that I would use so much like cookware. Time to upgrade.
My eggs never stick. I use steel pans. I use oil or butter. Listen to this lady. I mostly make omelets though. I use much less oil/butter than her. Eggs cook so fast that it doesn't have time to stick for me.
