Amazon has a 4-Pack of Eveready LED Tactical Flashlights for just $10.53 when you clip the 50% off Coupon

Claims to be IPX4 water-resistant. seems like a decent deal for under $3 each.

Perfect for my nighttime tactical refrigerator raids without wife noticing.
$2.50...
When my power goes out in the middle of a tropical storm and I am sitting in the dark, rechargeable might not seem very important vs. a pack of batteries with a 10 year shelf life.

Someone said they did it, but did not describe how. Someone else said it would take extensive modifications and not worth it.
I would never mess around with 18650s when it's not the intended battery usage.
Trying that would be at your own risk, of course, as that is not their intended battery usage.

Once you've tried 18650 you'll never ever go back to AA

Lithium just can't be beat, it can sit for a year without charging and will be full power and even when on it lasts forever

Just don't buy cheap 18650 batteries, you'll be disappointed how badly they can make them
