Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

IDK about you but I got a free iPhone SE Gen2 last year with no bill credits or trade in. A budget phone is a budget phone.
Not sure what promo you did, but I have never seen one where T-Mobile does not require some time of stipulation like a trade-in, bill credits, new line, etc. Not saying you did not get it, but if you truly did, it is extremely rare and may have been a one-off that was available just to you. What was the name of the promo that you did for that deal?

Also, the SE 3 (or even your SE 2) is not considered a budget phone when compared to the the entry level 5g phones that T-Mobile typically offers with these type of upgrade deals. For example, I can flip the SE 3 that I scored in this deal for hundreds if I wanted, compared to maybe $100 on a good day for the Nord n200 they offer. And it would probably take forever to sell the Nord. The processor, camera, etc in the Nord are not even in the same class as the SE 3. So yeah, big difference in terms of price and quality of the phones being offered.

And like I said, with this deal one can upgrade to any model iPhone they prefer, not just the SE 3, and receive $430 in bill credits. Most of us are lifers with T-Mobile anyway, so the 24 months is a non-issue. And the trade-in devices we are submitting are basically worthless. I am amazed if you think this is not a smoking hot deal.

can any one share their experience on cancellation?
Many of the rules are account-specific and time-dependent, and factor in things like free lines that you may have, the date they were added, the date you can cancel certain lines without issues arising, etc. When you have 11 lines as you do, it can be tricky to decipher all of the hoops one needs to jump through properly in order to avoid screwing up your account.

You may want to check out T-Mobile reddit forum as they often delve deep into specifics there. You can often post your SOC and explain what lines you wish to cancel, and some experts will inevitably chime in to pick apart your account and help guide you in the right direction.

But one thing I would do for sure is contact T-Force and get it all in writing before you cancel anything. Maybe even twice. LOL.

Any idea on what happens if I cancel the some other line on the family plan....not the one which receives this credit....does it effect this credit? how long before I can upgrade this line again or buy another phone again?
Typically for you get any promo, you couldn't have canceled a line in the last 30 days. I think this is to prevent people from cancelling a line that you're paying for and get a free line.

But there is nothing preventing you from cancelling a line after you take advantage of a promo. Obviously you can't cancel there line that has a credit... You'll lose the credit. But canceling a line on an account shouldn't affect the credit whatsoever.

If you received your sim card as a "punch out" (not preinstalled in your phone), then the large credit card sized card will have adapters to fit your nano sim and make it a micro or regular size d sim.

If you don't have one, you can try getting another sim card from a store or purchase a 99 cent sim card from Boost.

Just did this deal and the tmo phone rep said this deal should expire in 2 days of my posting. They had to dig the offers page for it as it was nearly expired. Make sure it's offer: P038

You don't. I did a few months ago when I canceled a line. The rep simply moved it to the main line/account level. You know why? Because the promos I had under the canceled line didn't require a add-a-line/new line. So the answer is Yes and No.

I don't agree. I asked a US phone rep two different times specifically about this b/c we cancel and get new lines all the time (employees come and go, some want to take their number).

He said clearly if a promo does not require add-a-line, it is then tied to the ACCOUNT not the Line.

I admit not having done this yet, but planning for the future.

Not true on the "any promo" comment. For this deal, I mean the obvious is you can't cancel the line the promo is attached to. But if you had canceled a line within the last 30 days you can still get this promo, unless you're talking about porting back that canceled line to get a promo based on opening up a new line.

If you're talking about getting a free line (I haven't seen any for at least a year), then

• Cannot have canceled any voice lines in the 90 days before adding a line.

• Cannot cancel any EXISTING lines for one year after adding the free line.

• If you add a line AFTER adding the free line, you cancel the added line without penalty.
