Same message for me. I guess I keep my credit frozen I just unfreeze for temporary
Which airline partners are good for transferring thankyou points to? Tried to book a trip to France recently and wasn't able to find a flight with any of the transfer partners.
Anyone has the similar experience? I applied for this card using invitation letter and got approved immediately. Got the card, activated and added it into my online account without any problem. Then my first purchase was declined yesterday!
I called the fraud department, first the system could not find my card, and the lady could not use my cell phone #, table phone #, chase credit card, AMEX credit card to verify my identity!!!!! I was angry to ask her to close my account, she sad I need verify my identity to close it!
Finally she will send me a letter with code, and I need to call back with that code to verify my identity!

Award availability is hard to find right now for almost everything. Especially Europe, depending, you need to book almost 1 year out in advance atleast. That or be flexible and take connecting or positioning flights.
Is anybody having problems with Citi randomly declining purchases — particularly large online ones? I have had the Double Cash card for years, and then some time during COVID, this started happening quite often. It is frustrating. I am nowhere near my credit limit, and I didn't get any sort of fraud alert so I could approve the transaction.
For example, I was trying to by flights to Europe for my wife and myself, about $1,500 total, and it wouldn't go through. I then put it on my Chase card with no problem. Despite these concerns, I applied for and received this card in anticipation of the Eurotrip. Yesterday, I was trying to buy train tickets in Spain (about $250) with the Citi Premier, and it was again declined — no fraud alert, no text, no nothing. So again, I used my Chase card instead.
I called customer care to complain, and they said it was not fraud alert, but was on the merchant side. I am not buying that since I used the Chase card about a minute later, or if it was, then it seems like an issue Citi needs to address, since they are charging Premier card users for the "privilege."
Has anybody else had this issue? If so, were you able to fix it? At this point, my Citi card is about as useful as my library card for large purchases.
This happened twice for large purchases. They said it's just normal procedure and can't be avoided to combat fraud.
For my experiences, once was in store and the other was an online purchase. Within 5mins of the purchase being denied, I got a text asking if this was my purchase. You confirm yes, and they will ask you to reprocess the purchase. If you go the phone call route to verify, they will ask for verification and it takes a lot longer.
Anyone else has trouble adding the card to samsung or google pay? When I add it I dont get the text/call to confirm the number, my number is correct cause I got the confirmation number to activate the app.
Bonus ThankYou® Points are not available if you received a new cardmember bonus for
Citi Rewards+®
Citi ThankYou® Preferred
Citi ThankYou® Premier
Citi Premier®
Citi Prestige®
or if you have closed any of these accounts, in the past 24 months.
So if you have one of the above named card accounts still open but the bonus was received more than 24 months ago you can get the bonus on this card as long as you didn't close one of these accounts within 24 months?
I have taken Citi Custom Cash Card in the last 24 months, then can I still avail this offer
Cash back as account credit for 1c per point like chase rewards? I thought thankyou points worths a lot less than that. Was this a recent change? Will have to check and redeem

Yes cash back is an option and 1 cent per point which is better than other programs like capital one which does 0.5-0.8 cents per point I believe.
